This may sound weird, but does anyone ever feel like deleting some of their alts? I have 9 120s and play about two or three. I sometimes get the urge to clear up space and make it easier for me to choose which one to play…
Anyone else?

I plan on it once I don’t need the alts anymore to farm mog sets for certain armor types
I usually get that feeling when I’m out of character slots and want to start leveling another alt.
I dont delete anything above 100. Too much work involved. Even if I dont play them. I use my very first ‘main’, a 111 goblin rogue, as my AH character now. He has JCing, so he makes me some gold every day on classic - Mists gems and selling enchants and stuff I make and farm on other characters.
I generally only delete if Im running out of room for new characters and havent leveled them above 90
Nope, I hate having to delete to stay under 50 cap to make room for heritage armor runs.
The trick is - what value can you get from an alt? I have 6 alts with max alchemy and can fish for the perfect proc to get the extra potions from tools of the trade, and that really pays off.
I enjoy creating alts and playing in starting area.
Then, above level 30, i actually need to learn the class rotation and this is when i hit the delete button.
I leveled a mage to max in WoD for an achievement and once done, i deleted the crap out of that mage. I also leveled an Alliance Night Elf Druid to max in WoD, i did not delete him, but never played that dude again.
I have learned two things:
Conclusion:
If not Undead or Warrior, then it’s not fun and should be deleted!
I once deleted a dark iron dwarf at 110 the moment I got my heritage armor
Paladins better, undead can’t be Paladins so therefore undead are not the best choice
Yeah I’ve done this a few times. I hate having useless alts who are stuck mid level who I haven’t touched in a long while. I hate seeing their ugly mogs and mixed gear. Now all my alts are max level and in great mogs.
Once you achieve the heritage armor, does it stay forever or do you need to keep that toon?
Yes it stays because it’s an achievement
I think about it a lot at the beginning of an expansion when you have to relearn everything for everyone. I have at least one of each class and after some of the changes I just don’t enjoy them all.
Never bothered. I have never reached the cap for server or realm toons
I plan out all of my alts and the ones I have, even the ones on Thrall, were planned out and there is no reason for me to delete them or replace them with anything.
Nope not at all if i don’t want to play certain classes for while i just don’t and just ignore them like they aren’t there for awhile deleteing is the last thing i would ever do.
i do this with entire games, but not alts
I just try whatever class I think would be fun, most don’t make it out of level 60 and I just delete them.
I’m trying to keep a feral druid so hard right now, I’m actually healing the bosses instead of doing dps and I don’t have an interrupt on short cooldown yet. Why is skull bash available at level 70? huh? who thought that was good idea?
HMP is soooooo 1990 like the first Batman movie with Michael Keaton, Jack Nicholson and Kim Basinger.
Why do i talk about Batman?
Because Batman destroyed Superman…
That is why you hide in WoW, on the Alliance side, as a HMP… mister Clárk (Kent)!
I went through a massive character pruning last year. I had at least 2 of every class (except DH) at max level. I was shifting between characters so much, I was getting overwhelmed.
I ended up deleting all but 4 characters: my original vanilla preserved hunter, 2 RP characters I had a strong attachment to, and the character I had the highest BFA reps on.
I feel way better since pruning. I am basically leveling each race for heritage and then deleting it. I think this shaman will be my main in SL, so he will be the exception.
I do have an issue wth spreading my time too thinly across my characters, but deletion is never going to be the solution.
