Does An’she do anything?

Well I mean, I said that he doesn’t have to be a light god, and you said it’s implied. Sure everything doesn’t have to be so grand, but that’s what I was talking about originally.

Plus, why wouldn’t he be a “grand” being if he’s seen as an equal to Elune(by the Tauren) ? It’s already been established that Elune is pretty powerful.

Because we dont know what kind of creature he is, and Elune is confirmed to be an “Actual Goddess” hinting that she has some power over the universe others don’t.

Hence the question, “if the Tauren see him as equal, why wouldn’t he also be a god?”

Equal implying that, at the very least, he is similar in nature.

That’s like saying Bwonsamdi is the same power level as Zanza because they’re both loa, despite us knowing nothing about how powerful Zanza is and only a vague idea of how powerful Bwonsamdi is. It’s overall not clear, so why would they be immediately equal and the same just because the Tauren believe so?

It’s not quite as far fetched as your example though. Because there’s so many Loa, and some of them are very obviously weaker. IE the Loa of Trash is obviously not going to be as powerful/significant than the Loa of Kings or the Loa of death.

Meanwhile in Tauren mythology, the only two deities are Mu’sha and An’she. One of the two is already confirmed to be real, real and extremely powerful. So again, it’s not out of the realm of possibility that An’she is similar in nature to Elune, and just as powerful.

He tried to, but Baine exiled him.

Its all Titans. The Earth Mother is a baby Titan. Elune is a moon base where Eonar lived. The Sun is probably a baby Titan too. Or some other sort of magical horse-poo made by Titans to something something protect the baaaaaby.

That’s not accurate.
Elunaria is the place where Eonar hid at. Elune is likely to have a connection to this place given the name, but it’s not exactly clear just yet.

Though I would not find it too out there if we did found out that the sun was somehow constructed by the titans.

I am quite frankly shocked AND shook.

Maybe WE’RE the real titans…

If An’she is real and is actually the sun, do you guys think he ever gets pissed when Elune blocks him during eclipses?

Like, “Yo, sis! I’m shining here! Whaddya doin!?!”

I’m not convinced An’she is real. I’m pretty sure he’s just the tauren’s explanation for/interpretation of the Light.

Let’s see… An’she is the Tauren name for the Sun God, as Musha is their name for Elune.

So An’she’s actual name would be… Belore, I think.

Therefor, for Belore to actually intervene and act in the same capacity as Elune, we’d need a group of, ‘Sun Elves,’ to active worship him and establish the, ‘Brotherhood of the Sun,’ and have a High Priest that acts as Belore’s mortal avatar, the same way Tyrande does for Elune.

I kinda thought that’s where the High/Blood Elves were going to go, before their “We hate religion” phase, then their “Ok, back to the Human’s Light and/or our fixed Sunwell” phase.

Short answer, no.

As it stands, An’she is a deification of the sun and the Tauren’s connection to understanding the Holy Light.

There has been nothing to indicate that An’she is a literal god, though the power of the sun is worshiped in multiple societies (Tauren, Belves, Arakkoa).

Seeing how Blizzard nowadays prefer to wrap up their lore neatly together, An’she is probably some primal aspect of the Holy Light, seen via the lens of the tauren culture. Like how the early humans apparently called the naaru “angels” or something.

One wonders though, how Elune and An’she are opposites, exactly, since one gives light and the other gives both light and darkness.

There is another Horde race who has much affiliation with the Sun, yet they do not seem to revere it quite as the tauren do.

An she is real!
She gives us light, warms up our days. And scares away the night. She is part of the earth mother as are we all.

But out of character. Tauren are just getting ACCESS to the light as the light is binary and only seems to respond to strong will power. So of course strongly devoted religious people would have better access to the powers of the light than others.

But! Where that begins to differ IMO is what makes sunwalkers unique, when done right. Where an she should not just be a source of light but to the tauren, an she is a source of FIRE!!!

Let’s be honest here. Your a native american styled culture. You see the sun in the sky you are going to think… Hey this is a big ball of fire. Well how did they come to think that? Well 1. It gives light. 2. It warm as hell. Especially during the summer.

Much how like druids depending on race has different versions of animal forms. Powers of the light should manifest differently based on the faith. Tauren and trolls would have different powers when it comes to the light than say, humans, elves, draenei and dwarves cause their religion is generally the same.

Sun walkers should have abilities similar to fire is all I’m saying

Interesting take on the Sunwalkers, gotta admit.

I dont know of any instances where elune may have intervened, out side the two you mentioned.

There isnt really any direct evidence that elune had anything to do with either ysera’s death or darkshore. It is eluded to, but not verified. Tyrande may have called to elune in the ritual but we dont know who answered.

What happened with ysera could be tied to the titan magic, specifically eonar, used to change her from a proto drake.

Tauren lore is weird. Musha and anshe are the earhtmother’s eyes that she ripped out after seeing what her children going to war after influence from old god whispers.

Elune has the power to do this. We’ve established that she does. And here it is again. She calls upon it. The unnatural dark falls upon Darkshore. And it gives the Night Elves battle, you know, enhancement.
