EDIT: Welp… Demo Locks went through huge identity crisis from MoP to Legion. x]
Demo was nerfed into the ground in legion up until Ion gave the reason saying your not supposed to play demo. Then they had to turn around and change it due to the player outrage at this.
Do NOT remind me.
This happened around the third quarter of Warlords .
Demonology was in such a bad spot that during a Livestream, Lore(community manager) took a player generated question to Ion about why is Demo doing so poorly.
Ions answer? “Well, you’re not supposed to play Demo right now”(due to Demo about to undergo its Legion revamp to Imp Mama caster).
Absolutely garbage way to treat fans of the Deni spec. Garbage.

I remember this happening in legion just before the rework happened. I remember as I was going into the dal sewers to go to the lock legion hold. And I was talking to a warlock in my guild. They were telling me what Ion had said.
