Do you want hard raids or easy raids

Things would probably be farmable across all content regardless of difficulty so we may find ourselves there anyway.

Easy raids are better for a social game.

Easy, long raids with plenty of time to chat and goof off between encounters, that was the golden age.

Wrath Raids, imo.

Oh boy Rashok LFR is either a super chill fight or a wipe feast or open to some trolling. Went in on my priest for some healing practice and I am sure there was a few people who is trolling the raid basically running to the center on purpose when they have the ring. I drop the raid after 3 wipes due to that.

Otherwise Rashok doesn’t seem to bad on normal and heroic as long as people don’t overlap and don’t run to the center.

Painsmith and Kel’Thuzad was also a pain in LFR people not moving out and watching target to kill the firey ball in Painsmith and following the pattern where to go when boss is on platform. Kel’Thuzad mainly people not going in portal or not interupting is the big one. Sylvanas was all around bad from start the finish I actively avoid that fight with any reason.

How did guilds survive back in vanilla to cata then? Literally all of those raids could be pugged at the highest difficulty, although challenging was at least doable.

It’s no different than pugging a +20 mythic plus key, versus doing a +20 key with a pre-made group of friends… much different experience, but in the end it’s still doable.

Any good player who wants to clear mythic, isn’t going to sit there playing with their aotc friends week after week being held back. They will simply move up and use guilds as a stepping stone to the next one as opposed to “well I like the guild I’m in and we clear content anyways so I don’t really care to move up”.

There is absolutely no doubt, that if raids were at the difficulty level where it was puggable, you would have far more players that don’t currently raid, participating. There is absolutely no doubt that great players would be more accepting of sticking with their guild if they were clearing content anyways. More people raiding, means more need for a guild for those who don’t want to pug it every week and have a more consistent team to do it with. Your new friend just starts the game? You can actually play with them in your guild since you can carry some dead weight without hindering the guild.

There are other ways to create challenges within the game (pushing high IO in m+), for players who want that, and have raiding be the social element of your MMO where you’re logging on weekly to play with your guild and have a good time clearing content as opposed to only a fraction of the playerbase capable of clearing mythic raid and banging your head against a wall week after week, growing tension amongst players for the weak links

I’m not saying to make raid so easy that every pug can clear it, just like pugging a m+ at above a 20 level doesn’t mean it’s “easy” and EVERYONE can do it… but at least make it possible

I pvp. I want no raids.

Hashtag: death to false content.

But it’s definitely already possible to pug m+ 20 and at least the easier mythic raid bosses.

And there were definitely plenty of guild hoppers in the old days

i like easier raids, since blizzard insists on putting all the good trinkets there and i don’t really want to raid anymore

people did not pug high end stuff with success.

Vanilla is not classic.

I prefer easier raids purely because the only way to make it hard is to make it absurdly punishing (e.g. original Haldondrus), which is just not fun in group content.

I want loot mailed directly to my mailbox. WoD was peak afk gear.

I clearly remember pugging heroic raid each week even back in WoTLK with ease. I wouldn’t even dream of wasting my time pugging the raid on heroic in DF each week currently let alone mythic.

Why would you even bother pugging DF on heroic when you can just pug a 20 so much faster for much better loot anyways

We have those options already.

LFR: easy
Normal: normal
Heroic: hard
Mythic: difficult

Sanctum of Domination was easier than Aberrus.

Maybe you meant SOFO? That was a ballbuster, which no one wants again.

Doubt.

It is highly unlikely that you were able to do that.

Why is everything you post on these forums just so wrong and ignorant. Like oh yes I’m going to lie about clearing simple heroic raids in a pug group from 15 years ago

Because heroic raids back then weren’t simple, and you don’t have the achievements for it. It is possible it’s your alternate account, but unlikely.

It’s only seen as simple now since people nolifed on private servers chasing stuff they didn’t have back then.

Scream it so the devs in back can hear you.

Yes you are correct this is not the account I used from vanilla to cata. I stopped playing the game from mid cata to partway through legion and started a new account.

Again, regardless of whether you think heroic raiding in WoTLK was hard, I pugged it weekly without issues and your opinion really doesn’t change the reality

Easy… hard…

All I want is fights where I’m not having to guess what the 8+ different AOE effects on the ground are doing. Feels like a total crapshoot some nights if I’m standing in fire or running to avoid my buddy’s healing spells.
