Do you think this line deserves a 7 day ban

It is in here is what the great and mighty Centaur has said:

I am seeing a pattern with AV and threads like this.

So glad I don’t PvP.

  1. Do not break the chat rules. Profanity, or masked profanity is against Blizzard’s code of conduct for all games/forums.
  2. It does not matter if you directed it AT someone or not. You can’t use the language at all. They don’t care about context.
  3. The duration of the penalty depends on your past license history. Penalties get longer each time. It is not based on “how bad” what you said was. The exception is that REALLY horrible/illegal things can jump to severe penalties right away. If you are on the normal path though, they increase each time until license closure.
  4. Nobody was offended. They simply reported you for breaking the rules. Much like cops are not offended someone speeds. You just get a ticket for speeding.

The current social/chat penalty system goes as follows and is subject to change at any time:

  • 1st violation - 1 week Silence
  • 2nd violation - 1 week Suspension
  • 3rd violation - 10 day or 2 week suspension
  • 4th violation - longer
  • This eventually ends with the license closure
  • Continued violations across multiple licenses on a battlenet account can get the whole Bnet account closed.

Breaking the forum rules is not going to work out for you either. Nobody is offended. Nobody even cares. You simply broke the rules :woman_shrugging:

Don’t do that unless you are ok with handling the penalties.

I see you have a Blue reply as well

I’m having an interesting day.

how do i talk to this guy now he’s closed the last thread?

You don’t. Nor should you.

I think everyone has covered just about every possible angle here.

Just don’t be rude and don’t swear a bunch! Think that wraps it up.

That’s the neat thing, you don’t.

You probably shouldn’t as you will likely use profanity (masked or abbreviated) and wind up digging a larger hole for yourself. Also reopening closed threads is against forum code of conduct.

Don’t use profanity in public chat channels gg.

you don’t. his closing the thread is a clear sign that the discussion is over. you do not need to continue trying to argue your case, and it’s probably a bad idea.

learn from it or don’t, the ball is in your court now

AV is fine, it’s more PvE than PvP anyway tbh.

Elite PvPers do not run AV, it’s a casual rat race and some players get extra excitable in AV for some odd reason.

You have players that will want to take control of AV and determine a winning strat for everyone, but then you have another player trying to do the same, and the in-fighting begins.

If you can ignore it and take it for the bluster it is then AV is fine.

It takes a few players that know what’s up to win AV, it’s just getting everyone else on the same page has always proved a challenge, which is why pre-mades wipe the floor with the opposing team, they have a group that listens, and that’s all it takes in AV.

As others said, you don’t.

Do not post about locked or deleted threads.

Posts that are moderated have a reason behind the moderation. It’s up to you to read the forum Code of Conduct and these guidelines to determine what you did wrong, learn from your mistake, and attempt to post again without breaking any rules.

There is also cool down period we institute during times of high forum traffic. If you are violating policy during one of these times due to frustration, you will be given a three-hour cool down suspension. This does not get logged on your record and is simply in place to keep the forums readable and civil. Serious violations will still have the appropriate action taken against them as documented in the Code of Conduct, and we do keep track of these cool down periods separately—if one is found to be repeatedly violating policy, appropriate action will be taken.

What if I would like to submit feedback on posts from Blizzard employees but not post on the forums as call outs are against the rules?
If you have any sort of issue or feedback about a Blizzard employee’s posts then you can submit that via email at wowcmfeedback@blizzard.com

ill make a new post about it, i disagree and think they totally ignored the fact people were calling for me to be mass reported over my av strat.

what a joke that they dont see the whole battleground chat log when reviewing these bans, especially when im telling them about someone calling for me to be mass reported over nothing.

Haha he used “mass reporting” in quotes.

do as you please. it’s probably going to result in additional sanctions against your account. i’d recommend going outside and taking a walk or something instead. breathe deep. relax. let this go.

Pressting [enter] was your first mistake. You do not have a right to space on anyone else’s screen. If you open your mouth, you are responsible for it. This is why lots of dungeons are silent and, to be frank, should remain so.

If you can’t say something nice, don’t say anything at all. You may find it ridiculous, but the default sound of every moment is silence. Interrupt that at your own risk.

Would just get it locked + forum ban. You wouldn’t reach anyone.

Your personal opinion doesn’t matter as the rules were applied fairly to everyone. Including you.

Incorrect.

They did not ignore anything. They told you that it does not matter what other people said.

YOU broke the rules. Period. The context does not matter. This is a very binary issue. Either you did, or you did not. In this case, you decided to to break the rules.

If you feel others broke the rules, then right click report them at the time. Do not respond to them.

Blizzard will not tell you what the results of those reports are.

Sounds like a skill issue ngl

If you wish to continue posting at all, you really shouldn’t.

Listen. I get it. Being actioned isn’t fun but take the time to reflect on how you can do things better. This is something I’m working on every single day. And it’s not easy, trust me. I have bad days.

Maybe just take a break during the suspension? Oblivion Remastered just came out, and folks are having fun with that!
