They brought Jeffery Kaplan, Tom Chilton, Chris Metzen and Rob Pardo on to make shadowlands? That’s the only A team I seem to remember being passionate about what they made and caring that the player base enjoyed it; you know - having fun.

If not they will have a serious problem on their hands. It really looks like they shipped 8.3 in a rough state and cancelled 8.3.5 just to get BFA behind them and focus upon SL.

Nope, the reason is simple the dev design game for themselves and not the customer. The design that they prefer is not what some(?) may want in game. This kind of mentality usually spells doom for a game if it continues on. No way what to play a game not design for them. The weird thing is they had perfect game balance in Wraith and sense then left it behind.

I just wish they would remove the flying requirements for the older non-current content like WoD, Legion pathfinders.
I mean warfronts, islands, and visions… I’m not super hopeful. I’m not really sure they have an accurate pulse on what players enjoy.
They are relying heavily on skinner box mechanics and our own addictions to keep playing, but it’s starting to wear on people’s patience.

I genuinely feel bad for people who still desperately want to give Blizzard the benefit of the doubt after they’ve run this game into the ground, basically killed HotS, and crapped out WC3:Refunded… I’m pretty sure anyone who thinks Shadowlands is going to turn the game around are in for a rude awakening.

Shadowlands is Blizzards last chance. If it fails I don’t see Blizzard recovering like they have in the past. Too many recent blunders for them to get away with another disappointing product.
You realize Sylvanas hasn’t really ever outsmarted us.
She’s just failed over and over again. She only really ever “outsmarted” anyone was at Teldrassil and Nazjatar.

Well don’t expect any customization options for your Mag’har there. This customization is for core races only (from what we’ve been told, it’s subject to change though)
This has been my feeling since coming back in Legion, and it’s only getting worse. The focus seems to be Raid/Mythic+ or GTFO.
I do not see how it could be worse… so I am going with an improvement over BFA.

I am fairly sure this whole “great pruning” is going to be a letdown. I think it’s simply going to be here is a useless filler spell we removed, and it will probably only be one.
Will it be better? Probably. Will it be a good expansion however…? Very likely it will be a horrible expansion filled with even more rng as well as everything people hate.
I’m trying to imagine how they can possibly make SL worse than BFA. It’s hard to imagine, but they might surprise me. They did that recently by making titanforging worse.
