I get this all the time, but the frustrating thing for me is that most of the toons I mail stuff to that aren’t my own are friends who have been on my bnet realfriends list for years… so why is the game asking me this? it makes no sense whatsoever…
Even though they’re your Battle.net friends, you have to add individual toons to your friends list to stop this from happening.
I have done this as well and it still breaks.
I have to remove friend and re-add them to get it to work again.
Not expecting a fix for anything in TBC at this point though.
I send a lot of mail from my bank toon, and I’ve noticed this happens when sending mail to my own characters if i try to do it within like a minute of logging in. If i close the mail interface and re-open a few times usually i don’t have to remove-readd my alts.
My (2) Bnet accounts are friends and I added all my alts as in-game friends with my mains – still happens more often than not. Having my main online and an alt (who will receive the mail) seems to help, but still not 100%.
The residual effects of attempting to quell illicit PTW by tampering with the programming of the game.
Does NOT stop it - only when they’re online. As soon as they’re offline you get this question once again.
well it takes 3 secs to just answer the question. Hmmmm Blizz is glitchy but isn’t this the free version with paid sub?
In line with the arena rating fix next patch Blizzard will display a count of the number of times they’ve asked you the same question for mailing to X.
