My daughter started playing it and at first I thought it was kind of dumb. But after she convinced me to finally give it a try, I got hooked. I love having something I enjoy on my iPad and I don’t care if I can’t be Grand Master 1. I spend a little bit of money and it’s usually not anymore than what I spend on WoW.
i like gambling so the mobile ones like neir/dragalia/nikkei are fun, but I am (somewhat) mentally healthy and can resist throwing money at them for “fomo extra spins rare 1 day only swimsuit blue’s clues crossover perv skins”
i’ve never paid money into a gacha. i’d rather flip a coin and throw it in the sewer if it lands heads
rumble is gacha-ish regarding these practices but there was something wrong with it because i didn’t remotely care about chasing anything. at least in the others I could sense that sweaty urge to collect things. probably was just a slow burn strategy and trying to fly under the “taking kids’ lunch money” radar without ruffling too many feathers along the way.
