I’m a big fan of doing them while in queue for bgs/shuffle.
I don’t really care about them, it may look like i do, but i don’t. The ones i have now are mostly just because i was hunting mounts, pets and mog.
Yeah honestly this.
I used to grind out and try to get as many as possible, even the PVP ones when I mostly PVE, but there are just way too many. A lot of them are exceptionally grindy or require a certain timeframe that I just don’t want to do.
I have a set amount of achievements I like to get… then when I feel happy enough to buy the game and the new expansion again buy wow again and race to see how much quicker i can reach that set number.
So … truthfully? Yeah, a little.
Once upon a time, I was insecure about posting on the forums and getting some achievement points and hitting the 9000 threshold made me feel like I qualified to be a “citizen” of the game, more emboldened to speak my mind.
And I won’t deny I’m a bit excited watching my points creep towards the 30K milestone, although I’m not going out of my way to push them over the top.
Go for achievement points, or don’t.
People shouldn’t blindly agree with your opinion just because you have a lot of points.
Yes
It lets me know if someone is a dirty casual (less than my points) or a sweaty try hard (more than my points)
I don’t pay attention to them personally. I like getting achievements, but they aren’t why I enjoy playing the game.
I think they’re a good indication of someones time commitment to the game, but nothing else.
I go back and forth on achieve hunting - these days I just do it when I’m in the mood, have nothing else to do or am already there.
I like them as a log of all the things I’ve done. The armory is known to not know how to count, so looking at poster points isn’t always accurate. It’s usually higher
Nope not at all
I did a long time ago, but i cant remember the last time I checked on them at all.
It’s also inaccurate if you have it set to only show character achieves as well.
It’s something to do when you’re out of things to do. Some are easy, some will require friends and patience, catching that stupid egg comes to mind…
I feel the same way as a lot of others here do. I never really paid attention to achievements unless I really wanted a mount or title. Otherwise, they just happen through natural gameplay for me.
My wife and I compete playfully with our achievements, so yeah-its a good source of lite hearted fun Some people really are obsessive completionists, and this plays to that tendency very well lol. Wife and I are casual completionist? If that makes sense?
Yeah-I thought we were doin well, but lookin at the pts from others here… wow, lol. That has been impressive to see.
If you aren’t 30k with that many years of play then yeah you are lagging. Serious achievement score are easily in the 35-40k range now though.
I’m just on 17k atm and my goal is 20k then im going to stop. They are not that difficult to farm. I farmed 4k in the last 2 months.
Yes. They can be a decent guideline of whether or not a player really knows the game, or if they’re just sorta hanging out.
