This is why I like raiding better. You actually get to pay attention to mechanics.
Blizz is never going to be able to win on this one. Too many people on both sides to please, especially when so many live on pugging rather than seeking out people who want to play the same way.

I don’t mind fast. Fast in rotation = fun for me. It’s why I loved S2M Spriest during Emerald Nightmare and loved Wildfire Ele Shaman during DF despite it being degenerate.
Fast in dungeon pulls can also be fun.
But the game desperately needs some variety there. People are good enough at the game after 2 decades where having a mob or 2 cast an ability that needs to be stopped is NOT enough to prevent them from mass pulling.
There needs to be some design change where sometimes it’s expected for a group to pull stuff together and sometimes it’s just better not to do that. Dungeons cater WAY too hard toward the former and it gets repetitive. Have some bolstering-like mechanics at play for specific packs. Have an elite that gets empowered by the caster mobs in the pack before it if you drag them together. Have a ranged tank mechanic. Have more mobs just be outright immune to CC so you CAN’T always cluster them up and chain AoE stuns on 90% of the mobs in the pull. Not EVERY pull. But some, ya’ know?
I wouldnt want it to go back to classic speed, but I wouldnt mind if it slowed down just a tad
They are actually going to have to start slowing down a bit, or wipe repeatedly.
Tanks cannot keep groups alive anymore, because they’ve added a lot of unavoidable AOE. And mobs do things like AOE interrupts now too. If the group is at 10% health, and the tank decides to charge on, that’s on the tank. I think a portion of repair bills should be charged to the tank when that happens, because they caused it.
Every time I read this, and the phrase “zoom zooming” I sorta roll my eyes.
The game has been at this pace for a decade.

They’re used in M+ regularly. It’s required.
I like the game but not the pace so many wish to run. Competitive WoW has made too many casual players think they are running a competitive dungeon every time they play. Honestly, no one in a LFG group cares about anothers ability to speed run, they are just trying to play the game and enjoy the content.
The pace is why I am careful with who I play with. I don’t want to rush because the end isn’t the goal, it’s the total experience. If I find myself with a group that wants to speed through, I’ll just let them know the pace isn’t for me and go. Everyone should get to play how they like, but it would be nice to see LFG be more casual than it is.
Speed it up 10x. 1-80 in a an hour. BIS gear in a couple days.
I actually don’t think Classic Era is “slower” than Retail. I think they’re about both the same. The difference is Classic Era is extremely resource heavy. Retail is not. You can do most things in Retail without really needing a bunch of resources like in Classic Era.
I’ve actually unlocked portals in almost every m+ since SL. Just because I don’t enjoy the fast paced playstyle doesn’t mean I just don’t play.
I’d just prefer to slow down and utilize things in this game like CCs. I think the fast paced mindset is trash for the community
On Mythic+. Tanks will not run over packs without the group. Even, right now, I had one Heroic Dungeon run where everyone just started to pop in at the start and the Tank started running in to the packs all by himself. After about 30 seconds, he died by himself. Then he started to wait for us and the dungeon run went fine.
Players are facerolling the content right now; that’s why it’s fast paced. When players gear is not that high, they would pick groups 1 pack at a time.
I played on Classic. I remember when the first time we did level 45 Scarlet Monastery Catheral when we were level 30 to 32. We were very careful… we CC 1 while we kill the rest of the pack… one pack at a time. When we reached level 40 and did the same level 45 Cathedral, our Tank started fast pace non-stop pull. He never waited for me and my healer to get mana. Hunter needs mana there. And we were fine becoz we outgeared the dungeon.
its 2 weeks until the first raid I would like extra time to just explore. My entire guild is already geared up and i didnt buy the early access so I am still running normal dungeons.
As someone who has pushed to a decent rating in M+, you should know that CC is still utilized.
Unless you’re talking about star, moon, square, triangle cc cyles. That’s been gone for a super long time.
And the auto attack simulator that was classic is riveting content?
Yes I’m talking about the later…CCing in M+ is basically kicking. trap/poly/shackle is barely used on MOBS outside of affixes
