I do. I taught my daughter to use them when she was about five. I use them often. She wanted to use what I ate to eat. It’s the main way she eats now. She’s 17.
Confucius say, he who is unskilled in chopsticks, put them down and pick up the bowl
Chopsticks are easy and fun to use once you understand how they work
I bought 2 pairs of rare ones for about 10 bucks each. Sold them for about 75 after fees each.
I do, not well but I can use them. I love soup so making my own homemade Raman with fresh veggies fresh noodles and some Sesame oil is a treat!
I do! Sort of. It’s not something I do often so it can get a bit fatiguing on my fingers.
We always use chop sticks when it is of the cuisine.
I know how to use them. Spent 6 months in South Korea. Was ok with them before I went, was a pro with them when I came back.
Real men use chopsticks to eat sandwiches.
I know how to use chopsticks, and used to be quite adept with them…but then my rheumatoid arthritis struck. These days, I can only manage to take two or three bites with them, and then it’s back to using a fork.
If you want to learn to use chopsticks, try YouTube. I believe I’ve seen more than one instructional video there on the subject.
I learned how to use chops sticks by having two bowls filled with tictacs and moving them between each bowl. Once you master that using them for food becomes easy.
Yes been using them for years and years. Actually never thought they were that hard but I know several people that simply don’t get it.
I wonder why they called chop sticks? At best you can pierce something. Or grab.

Not a clue. They go flying out my fingers LOL.
I’ll just use them to stab food with since I suck lol.

I’m right handed dominant, but I can only use chopsticks with my left hand.
Unless, of course, you then eat the eye.
From Wikipedia:
Blockquote The English word “chopstick” may have derived from [Chinese Pidgin English], in which [chop chop] meant “quickly”.
According to the [Oxford English Dictionary], the earliest published use of the word is in the 1699 book Voyages and Descriptions by [William Dampier]: “they are called by the English seamen Chopsticks”. Another possibility, is that the term is derived from chow (chow chow) which is also a pidgin word stemming from Southeast Asia meaning food, thus chopsticks would simply mean ‘food sticks’.
I was joking =)
But honestly in my mind they are chop stick because you can get an axe, a log, and quickly chop some sticks if you really need one. A lot of them (the one fast food delivery provides at least) have splinters on sticks, so I think I might be right on this one.
If you want brutal efficiency, use a spoon. You can cut meat with the side of a spoon and you can stab things on the plate just as easily, all while retaining the ability to lift liquids!
