Do you have to complete a Hv to unlock stuff

The lack of information regarding horrific visions is baffling, why do wowhead articles on the topic give little to no information how these things work.

Having just came back and having missed HV first time back BFA, I find a youtube video giving tips on various things potions, searching areas etc, upon starting my HV, I find no potions, or things in the areas only mobs, after several tries i managed to unlock a few hour glass things and get my head chant.

Do I advance to a higher bracket of HV? is this where i find the potions and weird purple chest

I think the chests only appear after progressing those thingies that encircle the Wrathion area before you actually enter the vision. IDK when the potions start appearing but they were pretty early on for me. I assumed they were there at the start but I could be wrong.

Meh. I don’t like doing visions.

ty, yeah this is not fun content, this content is for Chudleys that go “Hur hur dur” all day long.
but this where we are. Sad.

Bwuh? The guides are a complete breakdown.

… what? :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

Real sadness is judgemental tools beging for help because they can’t figure out anything on their own. So very sad.

Just climb the tower Senpai.

lmao.

You get the main chest for killing alleria, which is in the cathedral starting zone of SW. Each other section (ie, trade district, dwarven district, mage district) has an objective attached to it, and if you complete that and kill the final boss at the start before your sanity runs out, you get extra rewards.

Each mini zone has a portal that spawns after the objective is complete which will take you back to the start to kill the main boss.

These things could quite easily be discerned by playing the game, it’s pretty obvious. Just press W, kill all the things, click the things that are yellow circles on your minimap, use your sanity refresh thing as needed, port back to the start, kill the boss. You can do as many or as few objective zones as you want

i didnt know about the portals, ty

just did 5 runs and even after buying 2 of the buffs on the talent tree (less sanity drop and +50 base sanity) i only barely kill a few mobs in dwarf district before having to run back to alleria. even “died” on her a couple times from sanity running out but my npc helper rezzed me i guess? since i got back up and could finish killing alleria

and my progress bars for whatever those thingies are in wrathions room at the start are only like 6% full

this is gonna take a while

Idk man people that got all their information from a guide claiming to have “figured it out on their own” is pretty sad as well.

I haven’t seen any sanity potion anywhere so far there is a shadow spot that pops up that gives damage boost. I get sanity stone? that gives you sanity back but seen no potion.

you should run it without the npc helper. Using the helper more than doubles the mobs hp. you’d probably get much farther without them.

Thanks for posting these- somehow I missed the void stallion mount—now I have to run the dang visions… :purple_heart: :racehorse: :purple_heart:

If you mean the stuff that’s specifically in the visions, I’m pretty sure the only gates are “complete the introductory questline/defeat Alleria or Thrall once,” “do a full clear to unlock the first mask,” and “be wearing at least one mask” for pretty much everything, outside of gear and a few of the mounts.

Like you should be seeing the potions if you’re in there, just check the dead guy to know what color to avoid (the potion near his corpse is always the sanity reducing potion) and keep an eye out, when you drink enough you’ll unlock the chests.

As for “higher brackets,” that’s basically what the masks are for. You get your first one for killing all 5 bosses in a single run, and then you get more by doing things while wearing at least one mask (ie, killing Umbric with a mask on will get you another, as will killing Shaw), and the masks act as stacking difficulty increases that boost the currency you earn and the quality of the rewards you get at the end.

So much this, do not use the NPC. Should have named it “Hinderance”.

I’m assuming you don’t know how to read and that’s why you went to YouTube, so I doubt there’s much this forum can do to help you.

This is not timegated. You can get 5 masks this week. The remaining 3 you can get next week when it rotates to Org.

well they still die pretty fast, except when they aggro on her when i’m trying to kite trash around a corner. Would i get brezzed without the npc? Because the (sanity) brez is how i’m getting 2 districts done instead of 1

i wouldn’t expect to until you get that ability farther down the tree. you should however have an extra action button that has 3 charges that summon an orb to return you to full sanity. if you’re running out so fast i’m assuming you arn’t using this. check if you have your extra action button hidden or something if its not showing up.
