This was my main for most of BFA, but it’s the character I post on the most so it doesn’t look like I’m hiding behind alts.
As an altaholic, there isn’t really a main. I play a different character each day 
Although, I guess I play some a little more than others. This hunter or maybe my warlock would be my Alliance “mains.”
For the forum, I mainly post on this guy. I switch around depending on the topic or if I wanna fool around. It’s not hard to tell if it’s “me” tho since all my toons are in the same guild.
Main for me, but I will flip to an alt for threads like rate my transmog or other specific topics.
Why use alts?

I like having a designated forum character. 
This is my main and has been since 2004. I do occasionally post on an alt when I have a question related to that particular class or spec but that’s it.

This is my main, but thinking of rerolling so might swap to the new one.
This just happens to be the toon the forums chose whenever the new forums kicked in back in 2018.
I do play this Shaman semi frequently, at least recently.
Not my main though.

I have always found it completely hilarious when people think they are somehow “brave” for “postin’ on muh main”. 
I also get an enormous sense of satisfaction when it annoys someone that people don’t post on their mains.

Alt simply because it was the toon logged into the forums when I started posting.
Had no idea how triggered people would get when they saw that it wasn’t my main though lmao.
I use a toon that was my main at the point i started posting on it and is now an alt. But i consider it my forum main.

My main. I have nothing to hide, and I’m very opinionated. But I also try to be logical and make sure people can fact check me if they wish.

This character has been my main for some patches, but I generally swap to whatever spec seems to have a short term interesting build on a patch to patch basis. For example I was kyrian arcane+holy paladin for this tier.

Back in the old forums I’d go thru phases where I’d use my demon hunter or my worgen hunter. This was back when Rosenivy was a girl so I was uncomfy sometimes when people would refer to me as a girl.

I started posting on a neutral pandaren when bfa beta was acctive because so many discussions degenerated into “You’d think that because Horde/Alliance”

This is my main.
When I see a post that would be more appropriate for an alt to respond or crack a joke about, I’ll switch for that, but mostly, this is where I do my posting.
My alt posting is pretty rare.
You have the perfect name and kudos on leveling to max without picking a faction. That must be a chore
