There were orcs that didn’t though, Thrall and some others.
You could also say the orcs were coming to Azeroth because their world was dying lol.

they never had any meaning it was all the same “make some pointless friction” based on old feelings then come together because of the common end goal “save our world”
Nah the game felt alive with the faction wars and had better stories too.
The stories with Lothar, Blackhand, and Orgim were badass!
Sure it’s ok to hold hands when fighting the big bad guy every expansion. But otherwise we should be at each other’s throats!
Those were stories that happened in an rts not an ongoing mmo though. The reason it worked well in the rts is because one side could face actual consequences. Which is harder to do in an mmo when you have a two faction system. Also, war becomes harder and harder to justify when we keep teaming up and fighting alongside each other.
I don’t like the chummy stuff we have now. A Horde council with a bunch of pansies. It feels empty like we have no one to be proud of or anything. We used to be For the Horde! Lok’tar Ogar! Now it’s Dull and depressing in that area of the game and lore.
Equally based, you mean.
It’s not a fun time without a little war crime.
No such thing. No orc lives by any different code than get an axe in hand and kill. Besides thrall and horde hate him.
Its amazing how much Jaina can get away with. You would think that both factions would want her hide after all she has pulled.
Keep ignoring the fact the alliance was enslaving the pandaren, including children, even before the Horde got there.
This same exact quest exists in the Alliance side where the Horde is doing the same exact thing. I cannot believe people still bring this up over a decade later.
The entirety of the questline in Jade Forest is a 1:1 Mirror on both factions
Remember that Quel’thalas supported the extermination of all Orc PoW
And because the Alliance of Lordaeron had refused to genocide the Orcs, it lead to nations like Quel’thalas and Gilneas withdrawing from the Alliance made during the Second War and becoming isolationist
I didn’t say that didn’t happen, did I?
If you don’t have the stomach to discuss this topic you can just leave and find a safe place.
Yeah the takeaway here is that both factions are historically not good guys. There’s often a misconception among some people that Alliance are the good guys of the story and the Horde are the bad guys.
Both of them are morally grey guys at best and sometimes work together to fight other guys who would destroy them both. There is no good guys.
I also don’t think it’s always been portrayed that way, but I think it’s a better story when it is.
i always figured the alliance has a comparative moral standard to the horde
“we can be bad, but they’ll always be worse”
That’s the Alliance perspective at least
I honestly wish both sides would just commit horrific atrocities to each other without provocation and everyone could accept the reality that war is bad no matter who the “Good guys” are.
But unfortunately Horde andies will always justify whatever they do with insane baggage from 50 in game years ago while blatantly calling for more genocide
And Alliance Andies will always want to play the morally righteous do no wrong saintly good guys who are defending themselves from a pure evil horde of aliens.
It did used to be like this though, at least more than it is now
Remember when the Horde dropped a nuke on a peaceful city that destroyed that city in all timelines permanently?
It was for maybe one expansion and it got changed later.
Jaina no longer kills sunreavers randomly during the purge quest- or at least, she’s not SUPPOSED to according to the patch notes.
Even then her doing that in the first place is poor writing because she’s not the right character for it.
Why hasn’t Alleria and Turallion gone on a crusade to slaughter the orcs? It’s weird they are the ones specifically left out whenever it comes to being buddy buddy with the Horde.
Probably because the devs know those two characters would still be raging enemies of the orcs.
I’m not saying they can do no wrong or that all orcs, trolls, and undead are objectively evil. However, the alliance has a 100% reasonable stance in trying to kill all of them after all the horrors they’ve been through. At least the undead should probably be wiped out entirely.
I dont play the horde to roleplay as a good guy, I role play as a war obsessed orc who likes honor and battle. It’s not necessarily evil but it is incompatible with the alliance way of life.
I hate the push to make the horde cuddly and approachable because then there is literally no reason for any more conflict in a WARcraft game.
