Do you care about toys?

We used to use them a lot in PvP. It keeps players from guessing your class, because if you stand out - like shadow priest or druid - they will target you first. Especially in Ashran it kept enemy players from seeing who the tank was, and tanks were necessary in Ashran.

There’s some I really like such as the Ohuna Mail Perch, comes in handy when don’t want to go back to a town or city to get mail and a few of the cosmetic ones collected like the one that turns you into a skelly pirate.

But all and all unless it’s one I’m really, really interested in I don’t go out of my way for.

I’m much more interested in mounts and the ones I’m after.

i have spent most of my time in wow just to collect toys.

i am the toy master. no one comes close to what i do with toys.

Meh. Too many of them have restrictions or weird timers because someone found some way to troll someone or abuse it, or you cant use it outside of it’s original zone.

I like the Bloodmane Charm but again, short duration, extremely long CD for some odd reason.

Used the water shield orb when I was on my shaman, but they returned water shield to R sham. Think this one is still on my R shams bars just because it was cool to have 2 water orbs and an earth orb floating around me. ( rashoks trinket was a fourth with the fire orb xD )

The feather from WoD was amazing before we got flying, I dont think I even unlocked flying/pathfinder in WoD because it was so useful. After it got nerfed…meh.
Don’t think I go through my toys tab more than 6-8 times a year tbh. I find most of them obnoxious or annoying.

Sure I can totally see that, but honestly I don’t think the entire player population’s fun should be hobbled just so it’s easier to spot tanks and healers in pvp. I mean really, there are addons for that anyway. :upside_down_face:

Depends on the toy. In Raids I will pull out the transmogrifier for the fun of it. Most of them I like collecting.

There are only two toys I like, the record player that plays the dolly and dot song and the check that lets you put on Christmas costumes. Can’t recall what either one’s proper names are.

Now that everyone has the new broom mount and since its still Halloween, its insta-cast so everyone can be like a druid till Nov 1 and can dismount, fall for a few seconds and then mount up again. While falling you can drop certain toys on unsuspecting victims below you, such as Pandaren Firework Launcher, or Judgment of Mechagon, and thats just a few. Some toys, such as Star Chart, will stay in the air right where you cast it, and quite a few others do that too…

Toys are annoying, I would support an option to ignore other players toys. The devs don’t seem to be aware of what online trolling has become. Things like the train can be used to annoy other players game play. As a matter of fact spells like leap of faith and that dragon player moving ability often times can cause drama more than they help.

mounts…gear…xmogs…yes.
toys…no.

Some parents never bought their kids any toys while growing up :frowning: So now they hate toys…

Luckily there is a movie just for them called “Toys” (Robin Williams, 1992)

Edit: I suspect there is a secret at the Robin Williams memorial island in game, but when trying to figure out what it is, I totally forgot about this movie, now I have new ideas.

It’s only hard to identify classes when you have plates and/or names turned off. Which, judging from videos I’ve seen, players sometimes do.

Don’t forget “The Toy” (Richard Pryor, Jackie Gleason), 1982

Hots is pretty boring tbh

I can’t live without my loot a rang, wormholes, jeeves, and mailbox. Other than that I rarely use my other toys and I believe I still have some that I’ve collected but have never used.

They are okay but most of them have way too crazy a CD to be fun. I don’t get why they have such a huge CD when they don’t actually do much.

(That train though, it can have a 72h CD  )

Some of them are great, serving as fun little roleplay accessories. My favorite for my priest is the Soul Inhaler. Lol.

But, there are simply too many and it’s impossible to remember them all and what they do. The toybox is a mess - I recently got a 300 toy achievement and yet the toybox still appears to have more empty slots than full. It’s overwhelming.

Pet peeve: toys that serve as temporary mounts. Just give me the mount and stop with this toy nonsense.

Funny, I was just thinking about this topic the other day.

I myself love toys! Tbh, more so than mounts. I don’t care to ride most of the mounts anyways so mounts tend to be very bleh for me. However I love that toys in MMOs enhance the social aspect.

I really like the hearthstone toys because it’s cool and has the same CD as the actual hearth stone.

I would not be upset if we got more and more of these, like how wowhead has datamined the new hearthstone toy from the raid in 10.2
