…If we want to do Shadowlands? I love Ardenweald and Revendreth but Bastion is unbearable. Please tell me there is another way.
Welcome to the Terminal.
If you have any complaints about the after-life, feel free to jump into the hole at the middle.
Join the Kyrian and you’ll soon forget how much you hate Bastion.
A little late to be complaining about this wouldn’t you say?
Would be good if you could do that, but without Threads of Fate being available, its a bit hard at the start.
I thought the same thing. So I boosted a character and it unlocked the covenant stuff. I want to go level through it, but god. Furthest I got was halfway through.
If you do chromie time or not you have to start at the beginning of shadowlands with bastion and so on. HOWEVER if you hit level 60, the option to enable the strands of Fate is available if you go further back in the inn and activate it. As it should be at least by bare minimal. Unless you mean you wish to level through shadowlands from 10-60 with strands of fate then no, that option was completely removed.
This was like two years ago for me so please Start where you supposed to and enjoy it. Bliz seems to want to keep their story intact. Bastion is Fabulous when it was new. Now it is just irrelevant.
Disagree, I thought was horrible to the flow of questing in SL. You have the Maw experience which is interesting, then you get to Oribos and… there’s a lot of talking.
And then… “can you help with the cooking and cleaning?”
The whole thing just jumps off the rails. Revendreth and Maldraxxus, you get right into the action and the story is good. Ardenweald is very bleh. Bastion is terrible.
strands of Fate should be an option any time we choose and not just a one time offer
Shadowlands was an on rails hell for people that can’t stand games that play your character for you. Literally grabbing you by the neck and flying you to the next quest you had to do.
I hate Bastion. I didn’t like it when I started Shadowlands on my main. I REALLY don’t like it on the 45th alt I’m leveling. Not only do we miss out on the experiences in ALL the other zones, but our alts don’t get the opportunity to farm herbs like marrowroot, which is predominantly farmed in Maldraxxus, widowbloom in Revendreth, and vigil’s touch which is mostly in Ardenweald. Thanks again Blizz. WTF was the big deal about getting to CHOOSE?
It started with a prank, but after a moment, we went straight into action, helping tenders flee their dying grove
If there’s a new way… I’ll b the first in line.
Did they disable the threads of fate guy that approaches to ask if you want to do the story in order, or to do it in any order after the first time completing the full Shadowlands campaign? (He also hangs out on one of the Ledges in Oribos if not doing it after first getting out of the maw to Oribos)
Edit:
Annoyingly it seems they did, logged on a char that never went to Shadowlands and was under 60, Chromie Timed to Shadowlands, skipped the maw to go straight to Oribos and it started right in on the normal story, no approach from the Threads of Fate guy on arriving, and going to the said threads of fate guy (on the balcony behind the inn) he doesn’t offer the threads of fate skip the story.
Why would they remove that, what harm is letting people do the zones as they want if they have already done it fully once as was possible during the expansion?
Just skip Shadowlands.
I feel the same way. Stopped at level 56 in Bastion on this guy (my main) because I just couldn’t take it anymore. Came back 6 months later to force myself through it and it got way better once I left Bastion.
I keep reading Boston instead of Bastion and just imagine a zone full of NPC’s taulkin’ like, Bro, you gottah pahk the cah ovah heah neah the watah, bro. Do you even know you’re in bahstin Bro? Pahkin’ ain’t cheep, guy.
Being honest, I thought Ardenweald, Korthia and Zereth Mortis were awful. The two former were messes, the latter was too small!
Well shadowlands isn’t really an afterlife and more of a soul prison created by the titans… Would you really want to live in any of those four realms…
