I have mixed feelings around Blood.
The class tree feels like it’s in a good starting place where you can go down 2 of the 3 branches of the tree, get a bit of the third and have a handful of points to play around with and choose between say, a stun, disorient, shorter kick CD or mobility. The frost side may be a little too good because RE/RC and ERW + Horn is too much resource to pass up. It’s not perfect but overall a good first pass I think.
Blood tree to me feels disappointing for a number for reasons;
- Nothing new or interesting; There are no talents that change the Blood DK in a meaningful way.
- A full build, after grabbing all the required talents leaves little room, if any, for utility or adaptation
- some leveling talents like HS Damage is forgone to get required talents, should be 1 point, not 3.
- some non-sensical options, if you wanted to skip mass grip and grab purgatory you can, but you’d have to get the improved mass grip, with no mass grip, to get it.
- spread far, the tree branches into 4 different paths that each seam to have no cohesive style or benefit, it’s all over the place. It would make more sense to focus on 3 paths, at least until the final 4 talent options, that each had a niche like resource, armor, healing, absorbs etc.
just my initial thoughts, interested to see how it get iterated on.
