Do toxic players ever get banned?

You’re a tank capable of running 15’s. I’d have just left and immediately got an invite to another group. Lol

Yikes you want people to be banned for saying words. Maybe use the ignore feature. It’s in the game for a reason.

This.

Doesn’t matter if they’re a tank, healer or dps though.

Some words and phrases ought to get a player banned.

Some are never acceptable in any context.

Give me ONE context in which “KYS” is acceptable.

Of course you are correct there but the point I was making with that statement is that it’s more difficult to find tanks for mythic+, tanks are often seen as the leaders and tanks carry a lot of responsibility within instances and are usually the player that will catch the most heat from rude players. Either they or the healer.

So that’s probably one of the reasons you don’t see many people trying to branch out and tank. I know it’s why I don’t try to, I’m afraid if I attempt to learn to tank I’ll just get roasted and kicked if I happen to struggle.

Sorry I should’ve worded that better.

Also HI FAILEA!!! Do you know who I am!?! :stuck_out_tongue:

I disagree. They’re still just words. The person should be silenced yes, but not banned. If they have repeat offences and keep doing it then fine ban them, but other than that it is never acceptable to ban someone because of a word on a screen.

I’m sorry? I assume you were only trying to speak to NoBully but the quote tagged me as well. Lol

In my opinion it’s definitely not acceptable.

Yea that’s true. Actually also the reason I don’t even wanna try tanking. Too scared I’ll get insulted non-stop as I’m trying to learn.

:flushed: I don’t know… Mortis maybe? Who art thou?

It’s not just words on a screen. You are talking to another human being. Someone you don’t know and might have depression or living something bad and telling them “KYS” might push them to action. This might be a game but we’re not NPCs.

I wish I could just upvote this a million times. Our avatars and the “this is a game” mask the fact that at the end of the day, you’re dealing with another human being. They make mistakes, they may take longer to learn than you and they aren’t there to ruin your day.

People need to stop treating every key run like you’re doing it to feed your family. If the key is shot, then it’s shot, better luck next time. Your fake internet points don’t really mean anything and you’ll get your recolored mount eventually.

The really TRUELY sad part is that Blizz has no incentive to help this issue. The worse the PuG community gets, the more people will buy carries. The more tokens Blizz sells.

Interrupts are the tank’s responsibility? Wtf? sorry that happened, but yeah that was a huge red flag

I understand your sentiment, but I think in the case of toxicity, there is no other fitting punishment for a verbal, toxic player to be silenced.

Think about it. They can still play the game, and that may not seem fair, but just know that they are internally raging because they have no other choice.

If they were banned from the game, they would just take their toxicity elsewhere. And sure, it may not be your problem anymore at that point, but it would still be a problem.

yeah…berating you shouldnt even been an offense in the first place.
Cussing you or threatening you…stalking you…yeah.
Hurting your feelings…sorry…should NEVER be an offense.

Take a ss, report, and move on.

You must be so flexible from all that stretching!

The next time this happens to you just leave the group immediately, put them all on ignore, and right-click report any vulgar language or threats. Don’t bother giving them a warning. It’s not worth wasting the energy to threaten a group into behaving by saying you’ll leave and deplete the key. Just leave, get into a new group instantly with tank privilege, and let your old group spend that time reflecting on their behavior.
