No.
The OP specifically asks if the content gets harder. The OP even makes it clear they’re sticking around for AQ and Naxx regardless. The entire thread is about classic raids.

I say 'OP is asking for harder raid content
You come back with:
What rabbit hold have I fallen down where these sentences don’t mean the same thing.
Because he’s not asking for the raids to be made harder (you want hard content, just about everyone knows go do mythic raids on retail).
He’s asking about the challenge of classic raids.
A logical one? “Hey guys does this food taste bad” and “I want this food to taste bad” are two completely different things. He is asking if it gets harder.
if you want hard raids go pug AQ40
Exactly. If he wants harder WoW content then BfA is his choice. AQ will be harder than BWL, but over half of that is getting a raid team to mesh and work together well. Once that’s achieved it becomes easier. And that will be what holds people back the most.
I think the OP is legitimately wondering if the content gets harder?
I don’t think he was saying it should be harder or asking if it can be made harder…he was just trying to judge the difficulty of the upcoming content.
From what I’ve heard reading the healing class discords for the past 4 months is that Naxx is basically the only time there is some challenging healing content. Some
Raids progressively get harder. This is compounded by the fact that as your raid team gets better the content collectively gets easier.
I guarantee there are many people out there that are in guilds that can’t even clear Onyxia yet. For them it’s still hard.
If his raid team thinks that BWL is easy, they will find AQ more difficult. But once they gear up it will also become easier.
This question is static. The content has been there for 15+ years. What has changed is that there are more resources available to people to use, and the raid strategies are far more refined.
But again it’s subjective. You can make it more difficult if you want to. If you have 39 other people that are competent and good and as a result it’s easy, consider that a blessing because the alternative isn’t fun.
The problem with Vanilla healing is that classes don’t have very good tools to heal 40 people. From Niche on the Priest discord:
“In vanilla, aoe healing is fairly limited. You often need to heal a large number of players at the same time, but without spells to do so, you have a minimum number of healing sources you bring to raids. The actual healing per second can be handled by fewer healers, but there simply aren’t enough sources to meet the need.”
Generally this is where hybrids come in and why people push for PI priests rather than cut out healers for dps
Even still it’s probably going to still be a sprint fest. Some servers overtuned nax fights on purpose to make them more challenging and people still just sprinted through them like nothing. Pretty sure on one of these servers nax was cleared within 40 mins of opening?
Vanilla just wasn’t made for this type of content.
I agree with you—the content will ALWAYS be harder.
It is! The definition of “hard” definitely varies.
some did but not all. my 40 min BWL, 1 hr AQ40 guild on k3 last summer barely managed to clear naxx, it took us 6 weeks and the night we killed KT the guild was basically disbanded. everything on k3 was tuned as close to blizzlike as possible. nost-core servers were known to have buffed values, it wasn’t a secret in the pserver community. kronos was called “funserver” by nost-core server players, but it turns out they had the most accurate values in pve content.
healing is only a challenge in Naxx. Healers in more casual guilds might also find Twin Emps and Viscidus to be challenging.
Patchwerk, Sapphiron, and KT are thought of as the “gold standard” of testing healers’ mettle in vanilla raiding. Naxx trash can be brutal as well.
I can imagine this is where the ZG trinkets will come in handy…
Throwing out Greaters and HT’s in almost half the casting time will be amazing!
Yes, haste trinkets are incredibly OP and useful for all healers to have. So much life saving capacity on trash pulls. Naxx will not be like MC or BWL where chain pulling is the “normal approach” for efficient (not speedrunning) groups. Typically your healers will need to drink after most trash pulls in Naxx, so you can sort of blow your load every time and recharge.
The mechanics of the fights get harder, but as long as people are paying attention it shouldn’t mean to much more difficulty for healers. You will find out who is on auto pilot for raids really fast when AQ comes out though.
Maybe try and run your raids with fewer healers? Should make for a fun challenge, lol.
AQ and Naxx will likely be a challenge for a month or so for most “serious casual” guilds. Like everything else, I suspect they’ll be on farm before too long after release.
If folks want a challenge, try raiding without the “BiS” gear or with “sub-optimal” classes/specs. This isn’t mythic raiding we’re doing here… it’s tuned to be cleared by raids of reasonable composition and reasonable gear. This Meta nonsense wasn’t really a thing in Classic, and didn’t come around until folks were rolling on the private servers.
You can try to pretend that classic raiding is in any way shape or form better than retail youre incorrect.
You can always remove some gear pieces. That will surely make it more challenging.
