Do posts/replies need to be a novel?

I know a lot of people are passionate on their stance, but man it’s hard to want to read some of it because often it’s just a rant.

No, in the best way they know how, some folks are trying to communicate their message clearly, with as few opportunities for misinterpretation as possible.

Perhaps a good question to ask is, why does it bother you so much?

The irony of adding a TL;DR to your post criticizing others for being long-winded, and then being redundant in that TL;DR is palpable.

Well done!

It sounds like you have a problem with long messages. I don’t mind reading lengthy posts and replies. We’re doing it for entertainment purposes. Why would you want to reduce the entertainment value by making posts short? Just so you can get onto the next message more quickly? What difference does it really make if you read 10 messages in an hour or 30? You still spent an hour of your time reading silly stuff on the Internet.

tldr: problem == you

good good, miss out on the joke (also miss out on the tldr that was at the bottom)

Does reading sting? Are the string of words full of ouchies?

Depends on the context, your tl;dr didn’t convey the issue or get to the point.

String? More like net of despair.

Hey, i hit the little heart when I replied. I didn’t miss out.

odd, it didnt show it til now lol my bad.

If you don’t want to read it, don’t.

Personally, I think people should be able to share what they want to and if people are interested enough to read a long post, they will. If they are not, they won’t.

I never think it is a good thing when players start telling people what they should post, or how they should post it.

Choose what you want to read and bypass the rest. That way, everyone continues to have their say…their own way.

I know, right? What a pretentious attitude that poster had.

Nope. I’m infamous for my walls of text, though I am kind enough to break them into paragraphs.

I’m only this succinct when there’s so little to respond to.

I do love that word…

would you mind writing a paragraph explaining how infamous you are with walls of text, I just wanna see more words that I love being used, especially if done correctly.

You’re getting the hang of it now.

Is there some other way to get to 34?
