Do Players Only Turn on WM With Friends...?

This is definitely true, but I’m not even talking about these large & somewhat uncommon cases. I will just find a horde questing, literally anywhere in the world, and they will have someone with them to help them win. I can’t stress enough that I’m not overexaggerating, it is truly every time I try to 1v1 someone.

When I lose a fair 1v1 nowadays, I am genuinely pleased that a player was skilled enough to beat me fairly and I am happy to walk back from the GY for a fair and fun fight like that. It just sucks that players don’t actually want to be good like that anymore, they just want to literally have a resto shaman friend following them while they quest. It’s honestly pathetic how people play PvP nowadays lol

I don’t turn it on for other reasons. I am a returning player and I only have 9.8k HP vs someone who is 120 ilvl and has 27k+. If everyone had more or less the same gear level and HP pool, I would definitely turn it on. Maybe in SL. We’ll see.

Oh wow, hello rude. I’m not talking about whatever your roleplaying fantasy about warmode is, I’m talking about players genuinely not playing a skillbased game anymore because they would prefer to just troll with their friends & get wins handed to them easy. Nice try tho big brain.

Call it what you want & be as rude as you’d like, fair play is fair play & people who are actually good at this game enjoy winning when they play fairly. Baddies like wins handed to them. Call it war if you want idc about your rude comments, hope you get a good nights rest & some exercise so you can be less rude on wow forums.

How about this. Turn off WM and when you see someone out questing then ask if they wanna duel. There…now it’s fair for everyone. And no i dont filter my words to cushion your delicate sensibilitys.

OP, that is what world PvP is. You want 1v1, duel someone, otherwise it is what it is. Totally legit, normal, PvP behavior.

Pot, meet Kettle.

Seems like you’re the one living a roleplaying fantasy. OMG how rude…

Great for a main, aggravating for an alt.

Whenever I choose to turn WM on I understand and accept the uncontrolled nature of pvp. That is to say, I accept the risk that I will get my butt handed to me by multiple players even when I may have thought it was just going to be a 1 vs 1.

Definitely not lol a great chunk go in solo I have watched people in warmode and there are tons out questing solo without a friend or guardian.

ughhh…no. If there are actual pvpers no matter how well you play if you’re class is not S/A rank you will lose and no one is gonna fall for transmog. Most players base the gear level on your health pool.

Also i have WM constantly on myself. Horde outnumber Alliance by a lot in WM thats why we have a 25% bonus. Just need to pick your battles.

You win some and you loose some.

Yeah, because the three 22yo clowns, doubtlessly tossing a few backs, and looking for a 3v1 are definitely running the numbers on the guy in STV.

It’s called bait because morons fall for it.

You know what I hate about WM, is the fact it automatically puts it on when you hit a certain level.

It’s a legitmate tactic. High levels characters go out and one shot the lowbies leveling. It slows horde leveling, enforces why the bonus is there in the first place.

I’ve killed many a times by a level 120 when i was leveling but i accept it as part of the Warmode. I usually just take a break if i am camped and play a different toon and come back later.

Warmode is not fair, even or honorable in any way. There are BGs, arena and dueling for that.

I thought the strategy was obvious – roll deep, avoid gank.

Honestly I gave up on war mode a while back, it’s not so much about PvP but roving gank squads. It doesn’t matter if you’re horde or alliance, maybe that’s fun for some but meh.

If this was warmode, I’d have on constantly.

As it is, nah. Can’t be bothered.

You can pick and choose when to pvp and when not to pvp.

People use this privilege to only go in when they are more likely to win every encounter with a death squad.

Literally everyone figured this out the moment warmode was announced

Same. I loved old Tarrin Mills days of PvP. Some of the greatest times I had in wow was these impromptu “Kill’em all” 40v40 raids.

I keep WM off cause I just not into that type of pvp style open world wise. /shrugs/ I only turn it on when my friends/guildies need help with a quest or whatever…as they usually always have it on. So pretty much yet it’s only on when friends/guildies are around.
