I advertise an easy 15 key for pug saying “please have 1200 at least i.o”. I get 100 people apply in 10 minutes. The highest key completed on time for 90% of them was a 13 or 14… The other 10%, one 15 key completed on time and almost all way below 1200 i.o
Do people not understand that we can easily shift over their name and see everything instantly? Like 1200 i.o is not asking a lot for a 15.
Most people who have completed 13-14’s can easily handle 15’s.
You actually are asking a lot by requiring 1200 IO. You also said the key was easy, so I’m not sure why you’re so concerned with IO score. Number of completed dungeons and class matter way more than IO scores once you pass 900 or so.
That being said there are tons of people in the que for 15. Putting an IO score requirement isn’t going to stop people from trying to join. The best strategy for dps is to apply to everything if you don’t want to run your own key.
Many players are also targeting specific keys for KSM.
I tend to disagree with stuff like this. Saying someone who timed a +13 mists can easily handle a +15 is just misleading… Especially this week vs last week. Even more true if you’re a healer, or around 210 ilvl. There is a difficulty jump between each level and looking at their timed runs doesn’t tell you what the other people were doing. Could be they got carried pretty hard. Also 1200 io for a 15 really isn’t a lot, OP wants to time their key, not do charity KSM for people. I think 1200 io is like timing every 14, which seems reasonable imo. OP just decline the dps that are below your standard so they can que for something else and don’t waste their time.
Go for it. The best indicator of performance in keys is number of completed runs, not score. Score is a threshold for general competency. After that experience always wins for my groups I make, and it works really well.
The only people who struggle going up key levels tend to be tanks. Since they play a more important role. Healers are whatever. Healing is basically easy mode with a good group.
You know who make the most errors? People with the least amount of keys timed, even when they have a good score.

Which is why I think asking for 8 completed 14s isn’t really asking too much.
That’s not even going to get you into groups.
Your class item level is what people look at the most at 15. Off meta classes have little choice but to run there own keys.
I feel like the difference between a +14 and a +15 is minimal.
It is your group, so you are entitled to set your own rules, but don’t keep the mindset that having +15s timed will make players that much better… you gotta remember many people get carried also, and that is a huge amount of 15s timed.
As said by Abrasion, the number of runs and the experience in that specific dungeons is way more important than acumulated io.
For instance, it doesnt matter much if you have a +16 DoS if my key is a +15 SoA and your highest run on that is a +12.
The diff from 14 to 15 is somewhere in the 25-30 percent range that’s hardly minimal it’s quite significant. That’s a significantly higher odds to be killed and significantly higher dps required to time.
That being said affix matters more than key level when compairong week to week. But we can’t see the affixes when they got there runs. Why I would pref raidio to have some weighing to the affixes so “easier” weeks are worth less io. This would give a bit more value to that score thou eaiser is subjective so it’s adding a subjective part to a non subjective score. Even as a diff line for weighted io while showing normal io would help judge if they only got on easy affix weeks are constantly push.
While yes completed runs is a good indication much more so than only having one run but dismissing the step up from 14/15 as minimal is also a mistake.
It’s not by itself, someone could have completed a lot of 15s in the same dungeon, and you’d have no way of telling. The best indicator is a combination of highest completed in the target dungeon, number of runs completed, and and the overall score.

Strongly disagree with this. The difference between a 13 and a 15 is over 30% increased mob damage and hp. It’s significantly more difficult.
Who cares? I apply to things I’m not qualified for all of the time… they can either take you (which people do sometimes) or they can deny you. Regardless, it’s better to apply and take the chance rather than just not apply. What’s the downside?
If people are raging at you when you’re setting the benchmark, that’s a different story, but simply applying? I’ll do it every time without hesitation. Worst you can do is deny me and I just move on.

Nah man, as a healer, with a good group I can legit take a nap. If you want you can go watch Zmok’s videos of him doing keys without a healer at all.
We are the least important role by a huge margin. Tanks need to plan routes and time their mitigation and cooldowns very well. DPS need to not only deal damage but deal with mechanics, whether that’s interrupting, CC’ing or god forbid the dreaded taking 2 steps to the left.
You probably shouldn’t ever be taking a nap in a key. You can dps, cc mobs, and interrupt mobs too. You probably should take your role a little more seriously, you’ll realize how important a healer is. He uses a prot pally which is basically a healer.
Yes having a good group makes trash and life easier but you’re not going to get through a +17 DOS this week without a healer who is seriously pumping.
You also play a healer that rolls hots, and no offense but you seriously outgear all the keys you’re doing, which aren’t really that difficult in the first place. I did higher keys in 6 ilvl lower.
Yes because I’d love to use my only heal on someone else when I’m not topped off.
Besides if it doesn’t crit or you are not running hand of the protector using word of glory on someone else is almost useless.
