I would be okay with that if it didn’t feel so trivial, I hit max level and then the quests are easy, they aren’t tuned to be a fun and challenging experience for me it just becomes travel from point a to point b and kill everything that stood in my way. I just like thinking when I’m questing. if i realistically cant die it just feels like as a player I should be doing something else
I think you will probably find that opinion is not shared with the bulk of players.
I mean not saying you are wrong, we all have our tastes I just mean it is easy because “we” demanded it be.
8 hours is so unbelievably low it’s not even the length of a AAA single-player game… and this is an MMO
The difference is that is the entirety of the game in a single-player game… it’s only scratching the surface in an MMO.
I prefer faster questing. It doesn’t matter to me if I reach the end cap for levels early on. I’m more likely to get bored if it takes me too long to level up. I got a semi-busy adult life, I enjoy feeling like I’m getting something accomplished in the virtual world.
with the way sub numbers have been maybe they should switch focus a little bit
I don’t understand your post. You can still do the quests at level 70, just as you can with any other level. What does your level have to do with questing? The game starts, for most, at max level.
Why would you want to spend a week or two weeks or a month or a year at level 61? What point is there in that?
that’s fair, I mean I work two jobs, I guess I just don’t think end game should be the only fan part
They tried scaling in a really harsh way before, and it was near universally hated. I’m sorry to say, but outside of specific areas you won’t find your questing experience in most MMOs to be a challenge. They’re designed to be completed by everyone.
Oh I don’t even touch end game much beyond occasional Mythic+ and raids. Not hardcore on end game.
No, my end game is getting to max level… and then doing it all over again.
Maybe it’s not much the leveling is fast but for the most part trivial. if it took the same amount of XP to level but I actually had to pay attention and try when fighting quest mobs, also if the game starts at the end why even have to quest at this point? Just drop us in for gearing and skip the road block.
I like fast questing, I don’t read the the text box just what the objective is. I pet battle sometimes to push my ex.
I caught a pet duck, I’m just undecided what to name it.
Quackers, Waddles, Daffy, Duckalamo, Launchpad, Huey, Duey, Luey or something else, still making a list of names to choose from.
I just want to get the quests done.
Again, I don’t understand what you’re talking about? Why does going from 60 - 70 need to take 3 weeks, 3 months, or 3 years? What is gained by going slow in levels? The content is still available irrespective of whatever level you are.
Your point here just makes zero sense.
It’s not so much that once the number hits 70 I don’t want to do quests it’s that by the time I hit 70 the quests get even easier than they already are. Yeah, I could do them but that’s like playing a fighting game with a kid. Yeah I could beat him for hours on end. but it would get pretty boring.
There are several duck pets so Huey, Duey, and Luey would be choice.
have you tried classic ?
I prefer to level quickly, but I also enjoy a good story. I just got to Azure Span but I’m getting really tired of the “go talk to 5 people” quests – those are super annoying.
Lol, yeah. I’m not saying retail should be classic. it took close to 240 hours to level in classic. that’s a long time maybe too long.
Even so, a million or so people leveled to the max in classic. so it must have been fun. From what I gathered in this thread is that most people don’t like questing cus it’s boring.
A large portion of the game is just boring? so instead of making it fun make it faster? wut
Shoot, I’m only level 63 right now. I’ve been taking my time this expansion as it feels like a breath of fresh air after the old god junk and the mess that was Shadowlands.
yeah i found most of the “main story” quests to actually be the worst
