Dunno! I owned things in the face while leveling and was doing about 17k at 390 ilevel. I don’t know if that’s bad or not. I don’t do much on her except the random lower key.
What’s your issue with combo points? I mean, why do you dislike them?
Depending on your spec, it isn’t like we have abilities on CD without enough combo points like ret paladins.
Good question to ask my lvl 100 rouge. So I did and she asked me to lvl her up some this weekend and give her combos another try.
If not for your post, she might have been relegated to yet another time capsule toon, so thanks for reminding me of the rogue play style and something to do this weekend on wow!
I like combo points. What I actually dislike about rogues is energy. I suck at managing it and being energy starved feels bad.
Never really gave them much thought. They happen and they get used. I haven’t played my rogue much since Legion because I liked Combat and dislike Outlaw. Haven’t really enjoyed the other specs either.
I think I went over that in another post, but if there’s something more specific you’re looking for, let me know! ![]()
My issue with combo points is that it is no different then every other class with builders and spenders these days.
Combo point’s were cool when it was a unique system that really only the Rogue and Feral Druid used. Maybe I am lying to myself. Maybe it is all the homogenization we have gone threw.
I mean I switch to a different class and my hotkeys mirror the last one almost every time with builders and spenders. This extends to even my tanks with self healing and mitigation. Doesn’t matter what you play it is just a different flavor. Some better then others.
You can say it in the Discord ![]()
what discord?
I can only really stomach it on Outlaw. It feels less impactful on the other specs yet somehow simultaneously a major handicap. Have the same problem playing Feral druid as well. Boomkin is infinitely more satisfying.
They need to keep the system away from every other class, I see why they tried to stick to a combo point system. But sweet lord not every class required some sort of energy/ focus/ rage bar. That’s the exact reason why I played a lock/ hunter. But then hunters lost mana, and then locks gained their current system.
I left ret cause of the combo system introduction in cata.
I’m grateful though, I love Tanking much better.
prot >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> ret
I do, I enjoy the combo system. It adds flavor and creates a decision-making process.
Gotta help the community and fill the gap of tank shortage.
But my favorite part is watch DPS that decide to pull die to the mobs they decided to pull. gives me a great joy, and makes me feel fuzzy inside.
you should ofc let people that pull for you die. i do that too.
I think it’s great on my rogue and feral but wish it had not been added to paladin.
Didn’t another class or two end up with cp system? Was it monk? Warlock?
Yeah I hate combo points, but I also to a point dislike the other combat systems… ie. builder spender, proc-based-rng.
I wish they did something that felt more fluid/organic… would make me more interested to play a rogue, mage, or any other spec/class.
I actually enjoy how Balance Druid works. But sometimes, I’d like something a bit simpler when it.comes.to these combo point classes.
