We have been complaining about racials since horde have sword/mace spec from alliance, we fighted OP shamans, OP racials, map advantages.
We don’t have any shaman, You can reroll to paladin right now, clown.
Im a horde player. And burn spread is aids. Specially thay you can get multiple burns on you out of thin air cause of how it chains. Its bull.
They f’ed up royally with the way paladins and shamans tank though. Shamans are at a point where with the right gear you can solo dungeons. Cause your maelstrom lets you spam chain lightning every 3 sec and it heals you lol and slap on never ending earth shield and its gg. One man army.
Paladins are equally busted. Like that video of a pala tank soloing kara spider.
Srsly any self respecting company would have fixed this by now.
Specially in a game where ppl put weeks at a time of hours invested into chars

honestly the tank shaman being op is something i agree with.
i used to always say reduce the burn spread to 3 down from 5 and no increase on the power surge proc rate.
but i would also include maybe making it only do 5 if you have flametongue on your mh . so you dont excessively nerf ele shaman in pve and no “tank shaman” are running ft mh anyways so its fine.
pallies are busted too in their own way so bleh.
also im aware that the reducing it would hurt tank shaman in pve so maybe some sort of thing to make the tank runes not active in pvp . i dont know.

Who cares about Paladins. I gave up on mine. Don’t care for the playstyle. Seal twisting sucks, “Exodin” is just a glorified meme just like “shockadin” is/was and until they allow them 30 mins seals and more of a WotLK playstyle then who cares what happens to them. Nerf them, buff them, nerf horde, buff horde…. Still won’t matter to me
I play both for splits ally is stronger. Judgement of wis is OP and Prot paly bear tank combo is OP.

No they are not. From a pve standpoint:
-PVE DPS: On a class by class basis, dps shamans are the worst class for damage if you look at class balance on naxx logs. They primary selling point is utility and cleave on trash (which isn’t much of an issue if you do naxx trash clear on normal)
-Shamanistic rage: the mana regen is so shamans aren’t forced to go resto for mana tide totem if mana is a dps bottleneck for a raid. Ele shams cannot wand or cast wrath when out of mana like other casters. Mana-less Ele shams would be dead weight to a group without sham rage. a small DR is included in sham rage because shamans tend to suffer from button bloat due to the number of totems we have and we have no inherent DR or immune in classic.
-Tanking: shamans have a number of downsides. taunt & interrupt + dps ability on the same ability is actually not ideal when you need those things at different times in a fight which happens quite often. Way of earth severely decreases your ability to range pull. You also have no hard cc. Prot paladin does more damage and your mitigation cooldowns are not as strong as a warrior & you don’t have the magic resistance or self preservation a lock can have.
Most pve tank shamans are specced into maelstrom and lava burst for the mostly single target fights. Tank shamans in pve without a significant burn cleave would mean if adds appear during a mostly single target fight from a butt-pull or for some other reason, shamans would no have ability to aoe tank. You would then have to buff molten blast which would make shamans even more of farming/aoe tanking gods. Molten blast hits like a wet noddle and forcing them to run it during mostly single target fights would make them feel significant worse to play during raids. Nerfing power surge in general would be a huge nerf to a class at the bottom of the dps list. a good amount of your progression as a tank shaman forces you into maelstrom.
Why you would be human in the first place tho.
Dont nerf pally lol they cried for shsman nerfs you got what you wanted we arw d tier now while everyother hybrid class is top 5 dps. Pally need a nerf in pvp 100% pve is w.e but being able to literally global 4 full geared players in a 10 sec immunity is absolutely ridiculous and its up every big fight
Its a 5% proc chance lol are you insane? Ele shaman is all luck for 1 shots unlike pally who seal twists 1 time and 100 to 0 you hell even melee hunter needs a nerf i was full pvp gear with flask at 16k hp and a hunter 2 tap me wtf is that lol
Melee hunter can deal similar damage to a ret but WITHOUT a 6s instant stun, steed, freedom, dispells and bubble! A melee hunter doesn’t have scattershot, wyvn sting or trap launcher. I agree the damage for mhunter is also too high but it’s basically the gutted version of a ret in pvp.
What paladin is killing 4 people in bubble with 50% damage reduction… they can barely kill 1 in bubble
Where are we getting these 8 shamans a bg? Every AB I do, horde has a pretty even split in classes. There’s probably like 3 with one class, at most.
When I go into bgs in general though, Alliance always have at minimum, 4 paladins. I was in one last night (AB) and Ally had 5 Paladins and 4 druids, while the horde had 2 shamans, 2 hunters, 2 mages, 3 boomies, 2 priests, 3 warriors and a Lock.
Seems to me, the common denominator is the Paladin class, there’s always several of them and I wonder why.

You can’t hit someone on the head with a shovel and drop them in a hole when you’re done with them on these forums. But you can delete them from your experienced world by putting them on ignore. Winning is realizing that you can just banish someone to nonexistence (from your own point of view, which is the only one that matters) if you’re tired of or done with them.
