“Do it, Gallywix. Prove your loyalty to me.”
Sylvanas tossed a knife at the fat goblin’s feet, gesturing to the broken Tauren in front of him. Jastor staggered a moment, still trying to take in the scene with ever-shifting eyes. Any way he looked at it, this didn’t look good.
Baine Bloodhoof, beaten and bloodied, lay barely breathing in front of him. His arms and legs were chained to the floor, preventing any escape…not that he would’ve been able to move anyway. Gallywix, originally thinking this was a war meeting, had been stunned at the sight, and had had barely a second to register it before managing to dodge the sharp weapon.
“W-Warcheif,” He stuttered. “Surely this job’s fit fer a…y’know, lower level kinda worker…” He trailed off. There was a feeling growing inside of him, something foreign. He brushed it off.
“Besides!” He laughed nervously. “Don’t we, uh, want 'im around for information, or something like that?” He felt a lump in his green stomach as he realized she had barely heard him. She had made her way to the throne, and was reclined on it leisurely.
“Do it, Gallywix.” She repeated, sharper this time. “I cannot have traitors in my Horde.” Common goblin sensibility demanded he pick up the knife and finish the job, and so he did the first thing. Yanking it from the floor nearly threw him off his feet.
But then - that feeling again. He paused, and for once, really thought. He’d been feeling this ever since this blasted war had started. He had chalked it up to indigestion, but it happened every time he saw the consequences. Cities burning, piles of bodies…Teldrassil. He looked once more at Baine, strong, naive Baine, who never knew how to quit when he was ahead. This is my fault The thought struck him hard. His hands started to shake. He felt a rush as a plan formed in his mind. He spun the knife in his hand, determined now. “Y’know Warcheif,” he drawled shakily. “I been thinking. If I hadn’t gone and shown ya Azerite, we wouldn’t be in this mess.” Sylvanas leaned forward, her brows furrowed, but Gallywix felt a rise of confidence. “This?” he gestured to Baine. “My fault. Teldrassil? My fault. All dose people just…dead. Cuz of me.” Sylvanas glanced quickly off to the shadows, something he noted and worked into his plan, but focused on him quickly. “Why Gallywix, I didn’t know you were such a …sentimental Goblin. Tell me, where does this rambling go?” He grinned, and raised the knife. “I’m gonna make things right, lady!”
A couple things happened at once. Sylvanas gave a signal to Nathanos, hidden in the shadows in case of a betrayal, who fired a barrage of poison-tipped arrows. Sylvanas herself fired a black arrow into the fray. Gallywix, of course, had rigged the floor of Grommash hold to explode soon after they had joined the Horde, and he and Baine went tumbling down into the caverns below Orgrimmar.
It’s a good short story, but I feel I need to mention that Sylvanas isn’t stupid and knows already that Gallywix doesn’t care, and on top of that, Gallywix doesn’t care
Where they discovered Lucifuges secret love dungeon!
Then things took a very kinky turn… ![]()
Gallywix rising to a direct physical confrontation with Sylvanas while knowing Nathanos is present?
Snowball’s chance in hell.
I enjoyed this. The ending is a little spontaneous given what we know about Gallywix. Then again he openly tried to fight Thrall with nothing but a footbomb suit so what do I know?
Well…so all of you are right about a couple things. Sylvanas is certainly smarter than that - heck she’d probably just murder Gallywix in his sleep if there was even the slightest hint of betrayal. There’s plenty of goblins who could take his place. I agree that Gallywix doesn’t care now but that doesn’t mean he won’t.
See, Gallywix did care, at one point. He was determined to be the most successful goblin after watching his family sink into poverty because of others. He started his campaign with friends, though…anyone he cared about or trusted betrayed him, so he learned to care for himself first. He’s a paranoid, self-centered piece of crap right now.
There are moments though, where that old golbin shines through. He fought on the front lines to save Aszshara from the legion, and has shown inklings of regret about how he introduced Azerite to the Horde. There’s also a story that came out in Pandaria - where a scroll shows an alternate future where Garrosh won. The Horde crumbles from the inside, and the Alliance is crushed beneath his sha-infested heel. Yet, who rises to give the survivors time to escape into other timelines? Gallywix. He sacrifices himself.
There’s a good person there, somewhere. I’ve got a feeling we’ll see it soon.
Gallywix with a conscience? That’ll never happen.
You really knows how to write. It seems like a work from a profesional writer.
This is also a thing, and he was a little thug on his way to power so it’s not too far-fetched he’d make a move

Quite sorry, I haven’t figured that out yet here. XD
