BFA is crazy laggy / jittery, and often takes minutes to load textures / characters upon login, or landing after flight paths, hearthing, etc.
I’ve updates drivers, reset my wow interface, disabled all my addons, and changed my graphic settings to 1. It might have helped? I can’t tell. It’s still bad, even if it is ever so slightly better.
My system:
CPU: Intel Core i5 2310
RAM: 8gm
GPU: NVidia GeForce GT 730
Windows 10, 64 bit
Motherboard: AsusTek LGA1155
Not sure what other relevant info helps here.
I ran Warlords on this same machine on graphics setting 6 or 7, and then for Legion I picked up the “new” (to me) graphics card. Kind of surprised how bad this is now. Did the minimum requirements change that much?
Yes, the requirements changed significantly. You’re above the minimums, but below the recommended.
The 730 isn’t a great card, and it’s also about 6 generations old now.
If you can post a dxdiag, we may be able to see what’s slowing you down.
DxDiag instructions
- Reboot your PC
-
Only open the game and play until you experience the issue.
- Press Windows Key + R, then type DxDiag and press Enter.
- In the DxDiag window, click Save All Information.
- Name the file “dxdiag” and click Save.
To add it to your reply here:
- Open the text file and copy all of the text.
- Paste the text in your reply.
- Highlight the pasted text and click </> on the post editor.
If your DxDiag does not fit in one message, you can post it on Pastebin.com and provide the hash code (the numbers/letters after the .com) in your reply.
@zungar: Hmm… those instructions and their style look familiar, like maybe I wrote them
@Osmodeus: It’s possible an addon or a hard drive is slowing you down. Or you might have an overheating issue happening. The dxdiag will probably provide more clues, but if not, you could check for overheating, too.
