Do Blizzard Customers Have The Ability To Report Employee Bad Behavior?

It made think, what if this happens more often. I don’t really care about one word. However it is clear censorship, and it has since been repaired.

lmao :rofl::rofl:

Ok first of all you could just copy and paste the name of the court case you’re talking about because a quick Google search found 17 different facebook cases involving free speech and public versus private. All 17 were summarily dismissed in Facebooks favor because they’re a private company and have the right to choose what they allow on their site.

I DID find one case involving a CEO (Not Zuckerburg) who tried to claim what he was doing wasn’t market manipulation/inside trading when he made comments on facebook but they ruled against him because his comments were publicly viewable. This has nothing to do with Facebooks right to control what he posts though.

So all this is about the word Blizz being edited out of the title?

Like I said before Much Ado About Nothing.

Doubtful any judge would even consider it.

here are some grown up pants for you to equip

Oh yeah, it’ll never fly. But even if it did, they’d just delete the forums entirely because they will no longer have a use for them.

Censorship is 100% legal. The other option the CM had was to close your thread altogether, which is something all moderators do

Would you have preferred that?

Yes because if it was as silly it is, it is more than likely happen more often.

Remember that scene in the second Matrix where Neo goes to the train station?

In the train station, there’s this weird guy, a program, who controls it. He’s god there. It doesn’t matter how much Neo struggles, he can’t overcome the station’s operator.

That’s kind of like here, except you’re neo and the admins are god.

Except we choose to be here and can leave anytime we want.

The assumption that CM do not have clear guidelines to follow.

They posted it, Manhattan Community Access Corp. v. Halleck

Yes, it is a case that has yet to have a verdict, and doesn’t really apply.

Except a guy already showed you actually violated the guidelines. The CM did their job.

Since we have no way of knowing what caused your posting to be “in violation of the first amendment”, it had to violated one of the terms listed here:

Or maybe more than one. If any of us post something the IS in violation of the terms that we agreed to, then Blizzard has the right to do what they say that they will do in response to it.

The guidelines and rules listed below explain what behavior is expected of you and what behavior you can expect from other community members. Note that the following guidelines are not exhaustive, and may not address all manner of offensive behavior. As such, the forum moderators shall have full discretion to address any behavior that they feel is inappropriate. Also, suspension or banishment from the game will always result in the same in regard to forum access. Your access to these forums is a “privilege,” and not a “right.” Blizzard Entertainment reserves the right to suspend your access to these forums at any time for reasons that include, but are not necessarily limited to, your failure to abide by these guidelines.

The Notice is right there in the rules at the top of the forum. That IS your warning.

Using the words “Blizzard,” “Blue,” or any community team members’ names in a thread topic is frowned upon.

Everyone would like Blizzard to read and acknowledge his or her post, and we understand that; however, use of such words in the subject line does not help that come to pass. Please make your thread title relevant to the post subject. Threads violating this guideline are subject to deletion.

You are lucky the thread was not deleted.

That’s probably why i didn’t find it. I was looking for cases with an actual resolution.

Not sure why it might be more lately but as long as I’ve been on discussion boards I’ve seen people confused about the legal definitions of ‘censorship’, ‘freedom of expression’, ‘free speech’, etc…and what rights citizens have on other people’s private property.

(lol at the ‘dude’!)

After reading th first 40 posts of this thread, I have a feeling the OP is using some advanced trolling techniques here.

How about you give the steps of reporting an employee?
