it’d be nice if they atleast add the 15% passive move speed talent like in the TBC tree.
Yes please
Long arm of the Law or Bust, bros.
WE HATE DIVINE PONY!
Let it be known
Thematic would be that paladins can mount instantly if they mount their paladin mounts. Summoning a steed for 3 seconds isn’t thematic of anything.
I am impartial on Divine Steed. I just wish we had a passive movement speed increase back like Pursuit of Justice.
Get it out of here
I like my horse, my horse is amazing ![]()
Give me Speed of Light with 2 charges and the MoP Pursuit of Justice talent. On use 70% sprint and a constant 15% with another 5% for each charge of holy power you have up to 3 charges. To me, this fixes all of paladins mobility issues.
Give it a lick
I support the removal of the pony and the return of our old movement ability’s that where removed.
On paper it sounds cool, in practice it’s not. If it stays I hope they buff it (removes snares, longer duration or shorter CD.), and give us an option to choose any mount of our choice for the effect.
The Paladin Class Hall 30% Movement Speed Buff would make life easier. Keep the 5 minute duration on a 1 min CD that can be cast on yourself or others. If that is too OP knock the speed down to 20%,15% or even 10%.
I would like an option for Long Arm of the Law too.
My only gripe with Long Arm of the Law is that it requires a target to use. In instances where you have no target to cast judgement on it would be pretty useless. However, I feel like having more options is better than stripping them away and leaving us with only a horse we magically summon out of our pocket.
Constant 15% more speed? Like all the time? That’s busted.
I think Blizzard are sold on the idea paladins absolutely need to be slow lol, like it’s their main identity. Honestly they should just make our movement ability last longer, have to charges, and have a shorter cooldown, AND make most of our abilities have a significantly increased range because holy power extends our reach or something. Honestly if a talent is named “Long arm of the law” that’s what it should do, extend the range of our attacks, not make us run faster. It’s not called “quick foot of the law” after all.
pursuit of justice> pony> speed of light
These are key points that people have brought up before.
Divine Steed is quite the silly concept when you think about Paladins’ being slow. Your identity is having a charger, being a Cavalier, yet Paladin identity is still supposed to be one of the most hindered classes in the game??
So, which is it? Am I a mounted Knight or a slow moving juggernaut?
The Steed itself does nothing unique for the Paladin, such as freedoms or knock backs, and isn’t even buffed by Weapon types such as Polearms. (Similar to Warrior weapon Specialization talents)
There’s no identity there and it’s an over thematic, shallow ability.
Paladin mobility 100% needs to be redesigned and separated from simply being a discounted Outlaw Rogue. (Long Arm of the Outlaw is a legit talent rogues have in DF)
PoJ = Fleet Footed + Hit and Run
Divine Steed = Sprint
Falling Sword = Grapple
Long Arm of the Law/Seal of the Templar (Range increase) = Acrobatics + Long Arm of the Outlaw
Blizzard gave Outlaw rogues all the paladin mobility tools in Legion, and left Paladins with an unfinished Divine Steed design.
It’s been incredibly unfun.
Oh thank god, I thought I was the only one who truly hated this ability. Throw it AWAY.
Rogues should not have range increase, outside of range abilities like throwing knifes, they should be all about close quarter combat.
It’s quite interesting because I talked about something similar in a recent thread about 2handed enhancement Shaman :
This I 100% agree with. I think from a design point, Ret paladins are falling too close to Outlaw rogues, but somehow still lack the toolkit.
I tell my friends, Ret is the “fisher price” outlaw rogue. Something has to be done to either one of these specs to help differentiate them.
(Exorcism/Execution Sentence is just “Fisher Price” Between the Eyes)
Idk, maybe I’m too harsh.
When I first saw the datamined Warrior specializations, I took a big hit of copium and was like alright, we have the opportunity to make some very distinct and interesting builds with:
High mobility, Divine Steed, mounted combat Paladin.
Long Arm of the Law mid range Final Verdict Paladins.
And maybe Burden of Guilt, Jailer, 2h and a shield close combat Templars.
But instead we’re just left with this silly pocket pony. ![]()
