a dhk thing that affects alliance only ?
and now suddenly there are people wanting to remove dhks now who were previously against it cause it affected horde almost exclusively?
maybe youve learned the lesson and i can call you a fellow in arms against the scourge of the dishonorable kill and want to get the civlian tag removed from the game.
if you dont want the npcs killed, make them unable to be killed.
remove dhks and try pushing city raids with lots of rewards.
This makes alot of sense tbh, I think SOD PVP has pretty much failed to capture the nostalgic PVP clashes we had in Vanilla. I mean, why wouldnt they release a Tarren Mill/Southshore themed BG or encourage an IF and Ogrim themed PVP event with rewards.
Those two examples are two of the grestest times and memories alot of us had with PVP in this game. Tighten up SOD, or hire me to get it right.

DK’s is what killed world PvP. I remember raiding cities then nobody would do it once DK’s were a thing. Blizzard hasn’t learned in 20 years and they aren’t about to start now.
You aren’t wrong and as one of the unlucky ones who recently de-ranked due to this I am not expecting them to fix it. However, considering she was not a DK in previous phases it should be addressed.
Just get rid of DK’s entirely and incentivize city raids like a post above mentioned.

I made a post this morning but you can still hit Rank 14 in the same time frame. I just needed to hit 500k this week opposed to the 420k to make the difference. I am going to avoid the event until its resolved though which is unfortunate.
Ill be honest, I didn’t even know that was happening and I’d be aggravated if that happened to me.
Its silly that DK’s even exist at this point.

I AM alliance against DHKs since p1, have gotten 0 in the sod life. But i know how they are Bad for the game and other players.
They should make a pvp server without the DHKs and allowing city raids and see how the pro dhk server die in 2 weeks.
Update: Still a civilian and a DHK for lvl 60’s. Respawns <5mins so can’t kill on an alt before event to make it safer. Only has about 2k hp.
To be clear, this was automatic, not a conscious decision on the dev team’s part. Civilian NPCs are only civilians because they’re so low level.
Samantha wasn’t a Civilian in Phase 2 and 3 because we were all Level 40 and 50. She only registers as. Civilian to us now because we’re 60, 20 levels higher than her.
Blizzard should have frankly removed DHKs the moment they realized the broken AI for homunculi was giving priest players and their raids DHKs back in Phase 2. Heck, I had 3 different priest guildies pick up random DHKs in Phase 3 before we all quit like 2 weeks into the phase.
DHKs have no place in SoD tbh and never have. Unfortunately it seems unlikely for Blizzard to do anything now after they’ve ignored the issue for the entirety of SoD.
Honestly the easiest fix is to just make it impossible to get DHKs while the Blood Moon event is running.
They already disabled Honorable Kills for the 30 minute duration of the event. Just disable Dishonorable Kills as well and the problem will be solved.
DHKs outside of Blood Moon will still exist and be dumb, but at least people won’t be punished for going to Blood Moon anymore.

There is a difference between attacking an alliance zone and ending up with a DHK and going to a pvp event in a neutral zone that has civilians walking straight through massive group pvp.
Just don’t kill the civilians, simple. hurrdurr

Horde have dealt with this garbage at the Faire for months now and it is stupid as hell there and this is also stupid as hell. SOD should have removed DHKs and made those NPCs invulnerable if thats whats needed to happen.
Truly sucks you cant group for BM or to clear the Faire without risk of losing a massive amount of time (assuming you’re high rank).
DKs need to be seriously reworked or disabled entirely. We don’t need them.
