On one hand Blizzard cannot moderate 3rd party apps and even if they partnered with Discord these people would move to some underground site or app so not much to do about it on that front.
On the other hand everything that drops and gold transactions are logged. If it stays a fringe thing its unlikely they will put any efforts into it but if “regular” pugs die off and game quality goes down the drain (again) because of GDKP expect them to start caring.
So best advice i have for the GDKP bros is to keep it low profile and within your little circles. The second it goes mainstream you’re SOL.
Mainstream GDKP (trade chat) was, and still is, dogwater. If you dont want to wipe on MC better sign up on discord for a better run

Tbh i’m in a guild running 4 raid groups, at that point if i wanna do something like that i’ll just organize stuff “in house” lol.

You aren’t going to stop people using gdkp’s because its the desired and most enjoyable system to use.

Yeah just like there’s always going to be drug dealers and tax evasion. Doesn’t mean they’re a good thing, just means there’s always people looking for the easy way to get what they want regardless of consequences.
And yes the comparison work since GDKP and RMT go hand in hand.

Either way, if GDKP stays a shady underground i don’t really care about it, it became a problem because it became mainstream and basically the only way to raid for pugs.

Still is, there won’t be AQ/Naxx pugs on anniversary(not ones that clear at least)
And i only care about clearing those on my main who’s in a raid team so who cares. If you got money to blow on pixels that will only last 4-5 months before BC is out have at it lol.

I mean yeah GDKP was always a niche thing in retail, only happened when the game was uber dead (ie the end of basically every expansions).
By the time it really went mainstream in the older versions of the game retail was already RMT friendly lol so not needed there.
