Disconnects, weird WinMTR

Hi, I am getting weird random disconnects all of a sudden. This happened about 5 months ago but talked to a GM and got help and his steps had fixed it till yesterday. Sometimes Ill be playing and randomly itll like “Freeze” I can still move my character but can’t interact with anything. Or it would be a random disconnect. Can someone check this winMTR please, its showing lag on the 9th hop and then no response from 10-12. Whats this mean is this on my side or comcast or blizz?

WinMTR v0.92 GPL V2 by Appnor MSP - Fully Managed Hosting & Cloud Provider

Hey Keyona,

The WinMTR results look fine actually. The latency increase on the 9th hop is actually normal in this case, as the network device is configured to give less priority to the test packets that WinMTR uses. If you look at the worst latency on the last 3 hops you’ll see it goes back down to normal, which indicates the latency on the 9th hop is a non-issue.

The no response and 100% packet loss is also normal. Some devices will be set up to not respond to connection tests, but they will allow your game traffic through just fine.

Whatever was causing your disconnects does not appear to be showing in this WinMTR.

If you haven’t yet you may want to just double check the steps in this article to make sure you’ve gone through them recently. Try running a WinMTR in the background for 10-15 minutes to capture a disconnect, and if it doesn’t happen within that timeframe stop the test and start it again (until you capture a disconnect).

Yep, I will do another WinMTR to try and capture the data during the disconnect/freezing up. I started up the winMTR and saw the no response from host and was worried so wanted to double check:)

I have a ticket open now I will post my new winMTR to the support ticket.

I called up my ISP comcast and through the automated checkup on the phone, it said it detected some errors in the modem so I will check back with a comcast agent on the phone.

Thank you for the reply.
