Disconnect Streaming errors since 10.0.7

How do you change it to 11

your directx level doesnt fix it.

I was about to come back and say ya, it’s back to disconnecting. Blizzard please.

People are saying it’s working

defs not working at the moment, 5 D/C in the space of 10min.

tried the re-installs of BN and the game. no add ons, updates on GPU etc.

Not working as of 19:19 EST, but, I did see that Blizzard is doing scheduled maintenance tomorrow, usual 07:00-08:00 PST; maybe that will be the fix.

yeah but for AUS that another day, so thats fun

This one seemed to help me the most. I was able to do this. My one alt was trying to fly from Orbis to Sinfall. It has taken me over 10 restarts to get just to Pridefall.

I’ve disabled ALL of my add-ons. I’ve updated my computer system, reducing the security requirements for WOW. I’m even running Battle.net in administrator mode.

I found two specific issues but because my systems would crash out I could never get to Bugsack/grabber to see the problem.

  • Any addon that helps “manage and addon” HandyNotes, SimpleAddon Manager, TitanPanel. Anything that includes a “Plugin” area on their configuration area. I found out about that from this article. https://us.battle.net/support/en/article/34791

  • The second issue which made the crashes come faster seemed to be the immediate forcing of the quest to go to Forbidden Reach. Every time I got that popup the crash happened faster than I could read it.

Edit: This did not work for very long! See my VERY LONG post at the bottom of the thread!

I can add to this with my findings.

Short of re-installing the game, since I felt like that was pointless, I did the following:

  • renamed WTF, Interface, and Cache folders
  • Disabled all addons
  • Scan and repair game files

None of these fixed the issue. However, these disconnects did follow a pattern. It seemed to occur every time I was transitioning to a new “zone”. This wasn’t just simply going from somewhere like Azure Span to Ohn’ahran Plains, but also applied to every sub-region within a zone; basically, every time a new area fades in at the top of your screen.

This also seemed to apply to dungeons. For instance, I did a Nokhud Offensive Mythic and it was painful since the whole map is full of these sub-regions. However, it did seem to not occur when I was hoofing by foot, almost as if I was moving slow enough to not cause the issue. For example, in Brackenhide, if I moved by foot, no issue. But if I mounted up and tried to zip to the next section in the dungeon, D/C.

Hope this helps with troubleshooting the issue.

I did a traceroute on central.

Adding my name to the list of the affected, full reinstall done, drivers updated, interface reset.

I’m largely fine in my garrison or my alt in revendreth, but org/valdrakken dc me within a minute it seems.

Wife on the same network (and we’re both wired) is fine. Followed the steps on article 82450 for flushing dns even though it seems related to certain characters/areas (probably certain game assets).

Not really sure what more one can do, the fact that I can sit in my garrison for an hour, but can’t spend a minute in org probably should rule out it being an issue with my PC’s firmware/hardware/network. I have noticed a chunk of missing icons and such in achievements and other aspects of the game client.

Edit: missed the bluepost and the blizz button wasn’t taking me to it for some reason.

Hopefully I’ll be able to play after I’m back from Boston next week.

I just want to put this out there for a bit of hope.
Under the network settings before you enter the game if you DISABLE “Optimize Network for Speed” it could possibly solve the issue.
The subtext states; "Disabling this option may help resolve certain disconnection issues"
I’ve been running around on a character in Valdrakken for several minutes now with no stuttering or disconnects. I’m currently speaking to a GM and touching on a couple other possible issues. I also have to say that I did completely reinstall the game and removed all my addons. I still have my WTF and Interface folders saved, once the game proves to be stable I’ll be adding them back.

Dragonriding definitely seems to cause very frequent crashes, as does trying to reach the Forbidden Reach.

Just did this, flew around for about 30 seconds and then “A streaming error has occured.”

For some reason it’s not happening on my horde character but my alliance character crashes instantly. Couldn’t tell you why. Did a few more laps around valdrakken before swapping and instantly crashing. /shrug
Almost worked

Played for about six hours last night without issue. As of today, I either get the streaming error or the disconnect error when I attempt to log in. Sometimes I’m missing graphics and have green or blue/white checkerboard placeholders.

I did notice my shoulders were green last night towards the end of the session.

I’ve done a scan and repair. I’ve done a full reinstall to a different drive (no shared resources). I’m not running any addons. I’ve rebooted. I’ve updated my graphics drivers. I’ve tried switching to DX11. I’ve released/renewed my IP on my router.

Classic LK launches just fine, but Live/DF doesn’t let me load into a character at all. In the past I’ve had occasionally random disconnects, particularly when I get myself into an odd place in the world (trying to take off while under the LW canopy, for example). But never where I can’t load into any character at all.

Just piling on, really.

can’t even stay on for more than 5 seconds anymore

I don’t know if anyone else here is actively speaking with a GM in a ticket or not, but I’ve just been informed of this literal ghost program throttling my internet. I did not willingly install this at any point nor did I even know it was active on my computer.

Quote; "Typically issues like this are due to interfering programs or a connection problem. When checking for programs, I noticed ROG Gamefirst is running. It acts as a QoS. Basically a crossing guard for data. It can throttle or block the connection to a specific location, program, or entire internet. Turning off network monitoring is best, although if you don’t see how or see no difference, then uninstalling it is advised so it’s not a factor."

I’m going through the entire progress of removing it to see if it’s related or not. Somehow I doubt it’s the cause of the widespread disconnections, but here’s to hoping.

So removing the “asus armor crate” (and another asus thing that I quite frankly forgot the name of, sorry) as well as disabling my firewall as made the game entirely more stable. I initially went 2 minutes without a disconnect and I’m currently somewhere over 8 minutes with no disconnect either. (As of posting this)

I don’t know why this program was making the game so incredibly unstable for me personally, but I somehow doubt every person here has the exact same program causing the same exact issue. I’m sure the main disconnection error is something else entirely, but I hope this information could be useful or entirely solve it for some.

I’m still running tests and waiting for a response from the GM so they can see exactly what the issue is for myself.

happening to me as well constantly both on NA and EU
