What type of hardware are you all running? I also have the same issue. Tried the normal steps and nothing seems to work. I am running a 1080 Ti - wonder if it has anything to do with graphics hardware?

Has anyone tried renaming there WTF folder yet to WTF-OLD (you will lose all your addons settings) and tried? i might try that next
Yes, I have tried. Same issue. The only thing I can see maybe causing it is that, occasionally, I get the green circle saying the game is ādownload contentā. Not constantly, only sometimes. But I crash shortly after seeing it. And the launcher wonāt do any of its own updates, so I think some game data is missing. Iāve also run into enemies and icons that are bright green, meaning the asset wasnāt loaded.
I changed my WTF folder to WTF-old Reimported all my addons info and the game hasnt crashed in 15mins
i am also in the new zone and havent ran into an issue doing quests or having green icons on the ground or map anymore.

Still happening to me. I am just trying to kick off the heritage quest. Made all of the adjustment mentioned in this thread. Looks like I will just try again later/tomorrow. Go Blizz!
Iām on a 3080, totally random what causes it. Standing in Val, flying on dragonback, having the quest dialog box open at an NPC in Forbidden Reachā¦ all crash.
Hereās a question, since weāre talking about streaming assets and such. My Bnet Launcher is still saying āpre-release content downloadedā in green under the Play button. As far as I remember, that should only be there prior to the patch going live, and disappears once itās live. Anyone elseās stuck there or just me? (or if Iām remembering this wrong, let me know there too!)
If I had to guess, itās possible that itās not fully registering as having downloaded everything for todayās patch and trying to stream the assets in, despite having that āpre-release content downloadedā and itās crashing the game, because itās trying to overwrite while already in use and where it needs to be? idk how it works but seems possible to me.

I have the same thing on mine. And yeah basically just standing around, checking vault, etc. But I can get it to happen repeatedly when trying to fly towards the new zone. It seems that it is trying to download or stream something and that is causing the mismatch / crash.
I login, stand there doing nothing, and get DCed within 30 seconds. Repeatedly. Iāve disabled all addons, done the DX11 thing etc. but still getting DCed. 
back to Dcing the minute i hit the vault on the new zone.
Iām also seeing a similar problem, I have been playing for weeks without any problem and played yesterday but today I canāt be logged in for more than a few seconds and I get WOW51900323.

Iāve had to restart it like four times because of DCs. Iām giving up for now.
I think this issue is just due to corrupted install. Is everyone else seeing missing objects and textures? (I am seeing green objects all of the time)
Has anyone tried a complete re-install?

Iāve tried re-installing the game, doesnāt fix anything
i even went to my friendās house and tried logging in from his pc, now his character is having the same issue
