They have strong cds, strong utility, strong insta casts that cost a lot of mana. But they oom under pressure and puts a timer on the games. Hpals on the other hand have strong cds, strong utility, strong insta casts that cost no mana. And they also have the highest burst dmg. Bring hpals down to disc levels. Bring everyone else up to disc’s level.
Edit: disc also has counterplay regarding how it still casts, you can shut it down when played well but it’s not easy to shut down. Hpals never cast and is never kickable outside of a few classes. Ultimate sac should be 80%, not 100%. The fact it just stops a go no matter what is the reason why this meta is so toxic. Cds should never ever have 0 counterplay. Proactivity should be rewarded, hard casting dmg and healing spells should be rewarded.

Bring all healers in-line, and maybe add more abilities like shadow word death (abilities that need to be timed perfectly to utilize properly).

Healers chose to use mana for offence or defence, overheal or efficient heal, cc or kite, consequence of choices and gear itemization optimizing your playstyle. Variety of playstyles keeps it interesting. If the most mana efficient healer is winning high brackets there is a design flaw

Over heal or under heal rdruid and mw still oom

OOMing isn’t the sole reason MW and rdruid are unplayable, they simply can’t heal the dmg output in this meta and they just die on a single swap.

Would other healers get two healing schools and access to better damage if the intent under your plan is to make them more mana equivalent to disc?
idk about 2 healing schools but have u seen r sham lava burst
Ah so we don’t get much in this proposed exchange then.

Less OOM and more COOM amirite guys?
Right… I can’t speak for rDruids, but I can speak for MWs. I’d agree that going OOM isn’t the biggest issue w MWs. I mean, we’ve always kinda went OOM really quickly if we weren’t careful/grabbing drinks. The biggest issue is our lack of survivability: we’re getting globalled, even when we pre-wall a go.
Thus, what we really need most are survivability buffs more than anything else. Buff Fort Brew and Cocoon for starters. They never shoulda been nerfed in the first place going into a high burst meta. That really messed us up.
Another thing I’d really like to see, at the very least, is a much-needed melee damage buff. We have all these melee abilities, but we’ve got no real reason to use them. Rolling into melee range to do melee damages is all risk and no reward rn. I mean, if it’s gunna be this risky to get into melee range as a MW, I wanna see like (just shy of) WW levels of damage on those few punches and kicks we got. Risk vs. reward. In a certain roundabout way, this is also a survivability buff, in that sometimes the best defence is a good offence.
I know some ppl will pipe up and say, “They shouldn’t be like WWs” bc, of course, ppl don’t know how to read and comprehend what they’re reading. I’m not saying they should be the same, nor do I think a hefty melee damage buff would make them WWs either - even if the few punches and kicks they have were (nearly) on par with the WW counterparts to those abilities. If Blizzard is intent on MWs being punished for rolling in to do damage, then it ought to be counter-balanced by good reasons to do it in the first place - like good damage. I don’t think this is being unreasonable.
At the end of the day, it’s clear that something has to change for MWs. I don’t wanna see other classes/specs nerfed. I wanna see things buffed. Let everybody have fun.
Thanks for your time,
Chän
