If you want to punish people doing powerleveling in Islands then why not simply disable XP gains IN THE INSTANCES THAT ARE BEING EXPLOITED? instead of punishing EVERYBODY? I mean how hard is this to come up with?
Hope that isn’t true. I like my 110 pally so much I decided I wanted a 120 one too so I could get tmog for the 110. I did Uldir to get that tmog set. I also have a 120 that can do legion raids easier for tmog sets.
If it wasnt for the fun that is 110s, I’d have unsubbed. Bfa is garbage.
Stop giving us changes we dont want
I still cant loot mechanical bosses in ulduar for engineering items/do hardmodes for the boxes because they’re unclickable
Like the person above me said, problem not solved, not entirely solved anyway. I get the idea you’re pushing but it wouldn’t exactly work by just putting a filter for grouped content. You’d have to imagine people will want to pvp in groups out in the world, or run a twink run at 110 of a dungeon just for the gear at that level.
At least blizz realized this before they just went ahead with it, I wonder who (whomever) actually got them to change their mind around there before implementing this. Maybe we can get them to make them to push some more thought out changes in the future.
That’s not how twinking works.
Anyone who has purchased the expansion and locks their xp can do as many quests as they are permitted to do, thus getting their azerite gear. They can get 2 BiS Legion legendaries, run heroic or mythic antorus, and fill in the gaps with Argus titanforges.
Dear Blizzard,
There was a time when you had once described your company as the best experience in gaming.
So here’s ten gold, now go enable your experience gains because it’s obvious you haven’t learned anything in the past month and a half.
I’m genuinely curious what do you do at 110 that makes it more fun than 120? I’d like to get in on this.
Depends on what you want to play, My character is for farming old raids/islands if you want to check him out
In general, the game plays much faster in all aspects.
<3 great leader. Thanks for the memories if this ship goes down
Indeed. The whole reason my Horde toons are XP locked is because I only raid one night a week, on this toon here, and I don’t feel like dragging another character through the pain of hitting 120 and then getting offered WQ gear five ilvl below my current equipped ilvl until a lucky titanforge finally tips me over the line that will improve my freaking gear.
I noticed that from lvling 110-120 that the pace felt slower at 120. So it’s a pace of game thing?
Slowly. Very, very slowly. And, I guess, solo, because it’s not like this is an MMO or anything.
Dude, every single day blizzard is doing stuff to remove any fun this game has left. Its almost conspiracy worthy. This xpac has been the biggest letdown of my gaming career.
Collective Punishment is against the 1949 Geneva Convention so what you’re doing would be considered a War Crime in the real world. Just because a few people do something you guys don’t agree with doesn’t mean that you need to punish everyone for it.
Even then it’s still punishing plates that enjoy leveling through IEs. I leveled a few toons through IEs for chances at drops, xmog and the mount. That was the way I chose to level. All they really need to do is either a) cancel out legendary traits in an instance like IE, b) just disable them completely at 111, c) change the level lock to 111, or d) redo the leveling experience for people who get a “buff” that already have 1,2 or 3 lvl 120 characters.
110 is just a really knee jerk reaction and this is where communication with the community could play a vital role.
Sure they read the backlash and are holding off but could you imagine if they simply just implemented this with out even announcing it like some of the changes in 8.1?
This was never considered a problem during legion when twink powerleveling was popular. Why suddenly a problem?
Because so many people have stopped playing BfA content, because it’s not fun.
I don’t see how XP locking a character to power level other toons is fun, but to each their own.
they are trying to outdo Bethesda but i don’t even know who’s holding who’s beer anymore.
They should update the first post then because there’s going to be a lot of knee-jerk response… Oh wait, knee-jerk, just like the “solution”.
Can they do anything right?
