Too many people abusing gem swapping weakauras during the middle of the game, gem swapping to INT gems to have bigger pleas. People with way too much money to waste having advantages is stupid.
As you can’t change gear during the game, you shouldn’t be able to change gems during the game.

See in competitive pvp games like eve you throw down some isk. It has a payout though. I could lose say 2 billion a month in pvp for fighting for my 0.0 alliance.
I was working angles to make way more than I lost though. 2-3 accounts plexed (paid for with game money) and extra money in the bank per month.
I’d lose 2 billion, I was making say 8 billion (2009 economy, before it went it to crap lol). 6 billion up (at least) on the deal.
This was the correct unholy fix way back but they did stupid stuff instead, they should have just clamped down on the meta gem swapping in combat and make the weapon enchants trigger their ICD when equipped instead of changing the way the snapshotting worked and making the class even more awkward to play.
Just need to ban weakauras all together. Its basicslly a botting tool. It gives ridiculous advantages in pvp and pve as well. Also easy to hide malicious actions in there. It is worse than tge old decursive that blizz banned.
Weakauras is the most cancer addon. It’s basically the same as AVR.

The combat in eve is janky and you’re in outer space. It should “feel” like a top of the line game but it’s really an inflated sci fi game.
There is no competition in eve. The whales are just gonna stomp and honestly the system they have in place from what I have read isn’t fun. When I asked about eve people told me it was like you just wonder in space ganking practically innocents.
You can deck your ship out by spending basement dweller amounts of time farming or spend disposable income on an autist activity. I don’t see where there is any kind of competition… It’s based off a money variable lol. So I guess if you like big fish eats little fish game theres that.
Also I don’t think people are hustling the arenas. I just think some jerk put a free button for everybody to use on weakauras. Which is the addon that makes this video game practically unfair if you are not using a third party addon compared to someone who is. Wow aint competitive. There really is very few and far between “competitive” games out there.
So, apparently they deleted the LUA code to allow for instant/easy gem swapping in arena. So now you have to manually gem swap, not easy, but doable.
Ideally, they need to just make it so you can’t change gems inside arena matches or once you get a queue. Same goes for changing specs before a match when the queue pops.
I’ve played at 2500 all season and have seen this happen like one time. Of all the things they should fix this isn’t it. If you think you lost a game because of a gem swap I got news for you.
