Disable brutosaur near mailboxes

people did have a fair chance to get these items - they were available for 2 years and had been announced prior to that as well.

And people can still have a fair chance in getting them. FOMO is needed in games like WoW - but if it’s out of control, which it is, then it needs to be adjusted. We’re at this point right now, why else you see this Trading Post thing coming up.

Blizzard already stated why they didn’t want to make them more available - I personally hope you people never get them because it will be good for you to find out you really aren’t entitled to everything just because you exist.

Blizzard - and Ion - stated much the past decade which turned out to be lies. I don’t take these comments serious anymore.

Ah, I read the same during the elf wars and how Alliance-players weren’t allowed to get High Elves before 9.1.5. Or that old FOMO-content should never be available again through twitch or inGame (while the discussion raged about the amazon prime twitch helm rewards).

We know how things turned out and will continue to do so.

The issue is with the proximity of a mailbox to the AH. With a brutasaur they can park right at a mailbox which makes it very easy to automate the entire process without having to move. In a garrison, you still have to move which is more difficult for a bot.

How exactly do you know that it’s a generic, no action taken response ?There’s no way to know this is true from reading the response whatsoever, and Blizzard isn’t going to personalize the messages sent to the reporting player, either.

Please stop with your anti Blizzard agenda, thank you.

How do I know? Because the bot remains.

The same goes for reporting gatherer bots, they’re pretty easy to spot, they get reported, people point them out, they report them. Everyone gets the same canned response and everyone continues to see the same bots out there month after month.

There used to be a toy a friend of mine would use, it could dismount a player (this has since been fixed I’m told so don’t go looking). He would use it on some of these brutasaur bots to knock them off their mount. You would expect a player to get right back on, or move to a different spot, but after getting dismounted they would just sit there for 20 or 30 minutes, unmoving, unmounted, till finally logging off (or idling out?). A player would not behave like that - a bot would.

I don’t think anyone questions that there are AH bots. The point is the brutasaur is used by them because it makes automation so much easier. I have nothing against the mount itself, or that it has AH npcs, that’s pretty fun. I’m just saying they shouldn’t be allowed to exploit sitting on a mailbox at the same time.

So, you’re inferring that appeal are no longer possible, or there weren’t enough reports about this bot . I would find it suspect that if only 1 player reports a botting situation, the bot would be removed. If this ever happened, then nefarious players would be reporting other players in droves to get them banned simple due to bad performance.

Get others to report, and keep their names so it can be followed up.

You clearly didn’t read what I just wrote. I specifically mentioned that lots of people would report them because they were so obviously bots, and everyone would get the same canned message, and the bot remained.

This isn’t a new phenomenon, Blizz has a long history of inaction against bots, or maybe an inability to actual check.

How do you know this, exactly ? Do you have their screen names?

Also, I clearly did read it, and I suspect there’s a lot of embellishment within your post.

Now you’re just scrambling for something to hold on to because your argument doesn’t hold up. Anyone who has been playing this game for the last decade and a half knows exactly what I’m talking about. It’s not new, it’s not surprising, it’s been a problem for years. The brutasaur/mailbox exploit just makes it worse.

The basic point of this thread, and one I happen to agree with, is that brutasaurs are great, they’re fun, but they should not be allowed near a mailbox as it makes exploiting the AH too easy. The vast majority of brutasaur owners likely don’t care, but the ones exploiting this combination certainly would.

It’s a simple thing to dismount a brutasaur if it gets near a mailbox and it would be helpful in reducing the AH exploiting we’re seeing. Why wouldn’t any sensible person want that?

Are you telling me that instantly checking to see if you are undercut then instantly mass canceling then instantly mass posting isnt human? Sir you just need to practice your APM so it hits 30k per minute

  1. rare mounts are rare for a reason. it adds to a level of prestige.
  2. not every needs to have everything. im sorry i take advantage of things when they are presented to me and you were either not there or too dumb to purchase and obviously great mount.
  3. i dont see any real reason to remove mounts from mailboxes. never been blocked from a mailbox and to say that it gives ah mount an unfair advantage is silly. i have an alt that sits at another ah that i use for my actual ah trading. its always good to keep a clean character for that purpose alone.

And it gives an advantage which shouldn’t have happened. Therefore, it must be reverted and given to other players as well.

Toxic elitism is the reason why new players don’t stick. And given that you call others “dumb” only cements this further, because you lack emotional intelligence to understand that “you life” is not “everyone’s life”. Your reasoning is flawed like a swiss cheese.

I wouldn’t either if I can feel superior and it might gets changed, so I cannot feel better than other humans. Toxic.

the advantage is minor at best and you are not entitled to have every advantage if you didnt take the opportunity to grasp it. omg toxic elitism i know!!! lmao lets be real though the biggest advantage i can see is being able to use it away from a mailbox for supplies. for my actual trading i use one of the ah’s that have a mailbox right next to it with an alt.

it is not toxic elitism to be proud of the work you put into your hobby. im sorry this hurts your feelings. there are alot ofm ounts in the game that i missed out on as well when i was playing. it is what it is, im not goign to sit here and complain about the fact that someone has a nice shiny toy that i dont have.

this is just an immature way of thinking.

I have mailbox toy i always deploy it in the Auction house

I wouldn’t hold my breath on that one.

You mean the mount that should have never been made but sold an insane amount of WoW Tokens for Blizzard in a “limited time” window? Yeah, sure they will get right on that…

They won’t do anything to mess with this mount so they can run a similar scam later on.

What was the scam exactly? They informed people a year in advance that they had X days to farm the gold ingame. Some people certainly bought token gold to manage it, but it wasn’t necessary. People who were good at gold making already had the cash on hand when BFA launched.

Why would I explain this, you clearly don’t see it as a scam. Grind out the next one, not my concern. As long as that Token exists any highly inflated item dropped as “an exclusive limited time” item is just Marketing 101 fodder…

Have at it.
