I’m not you, I don’t get offended over nothing.
The majority of players are above level 16 btw
“Casually” leveling to 60 in 3 weeks… Lol…
It’s not just this decision, it’s the reasoning behind it. I really thought Blizzard was making Classic for Classic fans. But it turns out they’re just catering to the most hardcore of the hardcore. The professional gamers who rushed to max and now complain they need more content.
This is the first time I’ve contemplated quitting Classic. As a casual gamer I really thought this was our opportunity to have a game where Blizzard wasn’t constantly shoving us along to complete content as quickly as possible. That players would have the time to soak in the experience before Blizz puts out more content for the tiny fraction who speed through everything. Apparently I was wrong.
Three wings to Dire Maul, a host of quests associated with all three, and a key to earn in order to access all parts of it easily are the basics of the place. The “tribute runs” are associated with Dire Maul North, the Ogre section. In it there are several named guards who you can kill for loot or, if you’re doing all the steps correctly, can skip/trap/keep alive. The point of keeping them alive is that when you kill the Ogre King, you become King yourself and can demand tribute from the surviving ogres. The more named ogres you keep alive, the more bountiful your tribute chest. Some loot only exists if you have a minimum number of ogres alive at the end of the run.
Beyond that it is best to research it yourself using one of the WoWHead guides, or one of the many older guides that have existed for a long time.
It is incredibly easy to level to 60 by grouping up and doing dungeons a few hours a week.
They aren’t. DM isn’t tough, its just another set of 5mans that a lot of folks will be running in the next month.
Y’all need to stop hyperventilating.
Honestly, how many old vanilla players here were max level progging BEFORE 1.3?
Did any of you old players who started playing after 1.3 feel like their vanilla experience was damaged by this one dungeon’s release?
A reasonable person on the forums? How absolutely DARE you be here. Move along.
Post on your 60 then, especially if you’re going to throw veiled insults from a BfA toon about the level of a character I solely use to post on the forums instead of my main. Mostly to start a post count.
Also, running dungeons a few hours a week, as you had said, with a group won’t net you 60. You know that though. Maybe running those dungeons repeatedly every day for 6-8 hours like some people I had sporadically grouped with on my way. Even then one guy is still 58 and he started at launch.
Curious, what’s your /played on that 60 if you won’t post on them? I’ll even give you the benefit of the doubt and say you did it in 5 days played. That would be 5.7 hours daily, which is definitely not casual. That’s 3/4 of a full time job weekly.
as here we have it. as predicted.
‘’ if you play more than me, you’re a try-hard… but if you play less than me, you’re a filthy casual’’.
give it 2-3 more week and the people who can only play every other day will be 60, with the same problem as us… but you’ll get some once-a-week altoholic claiming ‘‘it’s your problem if you rushed!’’
Interesting.
I’m glad that Blizzard is willing to to slightly tweak their timing based on evaluating how people are currently playing. It doesn’t really look to be that impactful with regards to the major Phase2 change of removing layering completely as they add World Bosses. And since DM was released fairly early in Vanilla’s lifecycle relative to when people hit 60, I’m not particularly fussed about a “Dire Maul will kill the other dungeons” complaint.
I do wonder if the new Auction House will come to Classic or not, seemed a little vague to me on that. Very eager to see that in BFA, at any rate.
That’s literally not my point lmfao but ok. I get you don’t need full epics to move onto next content. But while raids have BiS gear people will continue to farm them and it makes those items more important. Once you release new content it makes older items obsolete in comparison. Plus just changes the overall gameplay experience. But when you are as clueless as you I get why you wouldn’t understand this and why you only think of yourself rather than others.
My literal point by the way is in classic you have to do raids A LOT to get a lot of legendaries, unless you have insane luck, or are like a GM to makes people give him gear (see streamers) or like raid in a group where you class is in the crazy minority so you have hardly any competition.
Saying “o rag died once” really doesn’t mean much. Everyone knew he was going to die fast… MC not that hard. But acting like killing a 15 year old raid boss dying means pump out content and ruin everyones experience is also ridiculous.
I like to take away the actual energy source (ridiculous outrage) from the forums from time to time just to see if the engines can keep going haha
I started in 1.5, and it took me so long to level that BWL (1.6) came out before I hit 60. Things like DM were just part of the landscape.
I’ve never recovered!!! /sob
You won’t post an actual toon so why should I?
Either that or phase 2 is going to end up being very, very short. As the normal players and late joiners will run into the wpvp camping buzz of honor farming levelers. Seems like a likely outcome they, wont reroll on PvE servers they will stop playing till p3 or all together.
Yeah calling someone out for saying zoom and using cringe in the same sentence is pretty pathetic pal…
Show me which currently released max level dungeon will be completely obsolete by the introduction of DM.
There is still BiS gear in the older dungeons after DM’s release. What you probably won’t be doing is farming those dungeons longer than you would have liked to, because the current game doesn’t have better items to choose from.
In what way would pushing content a little quicker than Blizzard speculated would ruin your experience may I ask?
Yea, my best friend did the same thing and got to 60 in 3 weeks…however he played a minium of 6 hours a day(alot of days 12 hours or more)…he took 2 weeks off work, hes not married, nor does have kids…Not hating on him, wish i had the fraction of time he does…But I would hardly call what he did casual.
