When i balance my experiences against what i see happening on other servers i think the pro’s far outweigh the con’s here and it would be worth checking out. That goes for both Horde and Alliance.

As do I, and whether you believe it or not I love the horde on our server too. Go look at my posts. I was the first to stand up and recruit more horde the moment you said the sever was imba.

Then Earthfury is the place for you! Alliance has been very active lately and some of your brothers and sisters are getting demoralized at recent events. Their FP campers are getting run off, their death squads are getting zerged and they are no longer able to camp BRM 24/7. We always had a healthy active pvp population with alot of back and forth but a recent influx of transfers this weekend may have tiped the balance in our favor. Personally i don’t buy it but others would disagree with me…

Yeap, saw this all coming a mile away. Switched long before P2 and am enjoying life alliance side. If you stuck to your guns and stayed horde i can respect that

server only bg’s from the beginning would have majorly fixed the faction imbalances from the start. why play on a 90% horde dominated server when you will never get to bg again.

We’re about six months too late for that. Should have been this way at launch when there were a lot of people, and battlegrounds should have been put in day one. We’d have good pvp communities on servers, there would have been a lot less complaints about omgworldpvp and probably AV wouldn’t have been an issue.

Exactly, my guild came back expecting bgs and a huge number of pvp leveling guilds like there were in Vanilla Actual, we were gonna play “casual” with two months in each bracket, but because of no bgs on release that didn’t happen. Since then PvPers have forged xrealm communities with those who queue, and those communities have just been shredded.

What does “the health of Classic” even mean? I see this get thrown around as if to “guilt trip” people into comforming to your bidding.

BGs were introduced 6/7/2005.

Crossrealm was introduced 8/6/2006. A year and 2 months later.

TBC was launched Janurary 16, 2007. 5 months after crossrealms.

I wanted no xrealm BGs, and servers with tons of PvP guilds like most players experienced Vanilla Actual. Hell, my guild was supposed to come back and spend two months parked in each bracket on our way to 60. But with no BGs on release the PvP community didn’t have a chance to form, balance, and grow to the point of sustaining server based queues.

That ship has sailed, and with the number of people queuing, the lower level brackets have formed an xrealm community where twinks, players parking for a while, and levelers could pug and recognize friends and foes alike.

That community has just been torn in half, with greatly increased queue times and a loss of half of our friends as the end result.

Server-restricted BG brackets are untenable for this version of the vanilla community. The proportion of PvPers even on high-population servers just isn’t high enough the way it was in vanilla. No one is doing PvP for casual fun. If you want to be able to PvP at all then battlegroups are a necessity.

Server community is a myth, everyone is out for themselves and no one is impressed by your BWL epics in Org. No one cares enough about others players to remember your name. This is the single-player MMO generation.

Sorry but you’re looking for a different community, because WoW Classic ain’t it.

According to a few here it should be no big deal to just ditch that toon and reroll and keep your community/group intact…
