Didn't Get Key of Shadows after doing all the required steps

Have all the buffs needed and used the Doggy-Saron Costume on the Pug and prayed at the obelisk many times and never got the key. Now the damn costume is gone from the pug. I need either the key to be added or the 25k I spent to be refunded because that is ridiculous that I would have to buy the costume again just because this thing is bugged.

If it’s bugged, you need to submit a ticket for QA to investigate and reproduce for a patch.

Customer Support is completely hands off when it comes to the Secrets stuff, they cannot help here. You can try your luck with a ticket to a game master, but I don’t know if the result will be any different.

There isn’t anything Support can do. If you think it’s bugged you can move this over to the Bug forum.

There’s lots of helpful comments in there to help your troubleshoot.

Did you rename your perky pug at one point? Did you have buffs left over from other steps?

Edit: you also don’t need to have the costume yourself. You can look into joining a group or asking a friend if they have it and can help.

I’ve just did this part and i didn’t get a key either. i currently have a ticket in the system.

well i got a responce from the GM and basically been told to join the secrets comunity as figuring this out is half the fun…

are GM’s not actually reading tickets anymore?

Update, just wanted to share my experience. I think maybe the step that is most confusing is the “PRESENT” Vale of Eternal blossoms. I was performing these secrets on an alt and the Key of Shadows brought me to a halt. So there’s Vale of Eternal blossoms before the sha, then there’s post sha eruption. The instance you need to be in is where the Assaults show up. The Black Empire assaults. In short, if Zidormi is not at the top of the tower next to the ruby dragon for you to toggle between two versions of Vale then you can’t get the key. Unless of course you get it because someone else activated it. I had to get on my Main and switch to “Present” with Zidormi in Vale next to the ruby dragon to then get they key. FYI, obelisk isnt visible unless you’ve done the first secret. I also got it with the prior Light of Their Love buff. Hope this helps
