Did you guys like world quests?

WQ’s have gone downhill in recent years imo.

I also think they’re just super lazy when it comes to these rep grinds…you just don’t see things like the netherwing (and similar factions) anymore…i feel it’s just more tedious to do them now.

I’m fine with WQs. I’ve done them over and over again for months to the point that I’ve finished all the night fae anima purchasable items. Any toon that can aoe well, like a Mage, makes doing them easy. I can finish 20 WQs a day in all 4 zones in about an hour with a mage and that includes travel time.

A lot of the ongoing content that they release is good when they first release–that’s why it becomes ongoing–but over time they lose sight of why it was good in the first place.

The talent revamp back in MoP made sense with the options they gave us and it worked well. Mythic+ in Legion was good with the dungeons that introduced it and the affixes that were designed with those dungeons in mind. Nowadays though the talents are just lackluster and lazy without any “meaningful” choice to them at all, and the dungeons in BfA and even more so SL now are crappy.

So with world quests it’s the same: when they first introduced them there was more care taken in their implementation, but now they’re just slapped together without any effort and they’re crappy compared to how they used to be.

if other parts of the game were better, i’d probably enjoy them more.

I like them ok for busy work while I am not really paying attention to what I am doing.

Not sure if that is a good or bad answer, but eh.

“Champion! These wild boars need to be neutered and spade. Only you can handle such a delicate task”

Basically what these WQ pop-ups feel like.

I use the “S.T.F.U.” addon (no periods in it but apparently I can’t use that acronym on the forum…). It’s a little less known but has more features that I like.

I don’t mind them, but day in and day out they get old after a while. I’d like some sort of daily mini-quest chain that takes a little while to complete. But I imagine if we had something like that, there would only be so many of them and we’d get sick of those too.

I don’t think you even had to pick up your daily quest from a hub before starting doing WQs in Legion or BfA, right? That’s another annoyance SL added to the pile of daily tasks.

Snappy little WQs with flying between them, yes.

WQ scaled to the tempo of apexis sites, slogging through irrelevent mobs both ways, not so much.

I swear they should have had flying from the moment you hit max level…

Conceptually, yes.

In practice? They’ve never realized their potential.

I hate em. Too much time invested for little to no reward.

You got 220 ilvl gear and the WQs reward is like 200. Its useless.

Ehhh the dungeons were good but they weren’t designed with mythic+ in mind…BFA on the other hand was

They were fine when they actually had loot worth picking up, now they time-gate the value of the items from world quests so you’re always likely to outgear anything you could pick up other than conduits.

So now I hate them.

What if WQs gave tokens that you could exchange at vendors for either gear if you’re low or on an alt, or exchange for other more useful things that WQs give?

Nope because the amount of tokens youd need for a crap piece of gear would be too high.
We dont need anymore grindfests in this game.
