There are so many class/race combos, starting zones etc. I feel bad for those who didn’t get beta. This is because, I normally roll alliance and during beta I get to play some horde toons, do some horde quests that I will not get the opportunity to do once classic launches.
Was a win/win once you look at it from this perspective. Don’t play the class/combo you intend to play when classic drops.
Question for someone who HAS gotten an invite. Can you post in the new Warcraft Classic Beta forum, or is it shut off for everyone?

I still have my 2004 toons on a server that I don’t play on anymore. I actually logged onto my hunter and visited a bit. Retired on the beach in westfall.
Still have ammo, my gear and everything. It was nostalgic.
I wish there were a retired character storage sort of like void storage for keeping a sentimental old toon retired, but not deleted, just on account.
OH, OP: No beta for me either. not surprised, I have never gotten into a beta, and have watched more than one real life friend get one. /sigh

Well the good news is you could play the beta on her account.
I opted out when I realized I wouldn’t be much use as a tester.
I got invited for Wrath, WoD and Diablo 3. Didn’t even use the WoD invite.

i don’t really want to play beta, since character will be deleted and i’d have to start over. I checked it on blizzcon, it was fun, but i’d rather wait for permanence

I was in most Betas except Overwatch in the past years, have a day 1 account and still nothing.
It´s a random procedure.
