Post announcement interviews have shown that Blizzard expected some disappointment at the mobile reveal -- but they were surprised/shock how much vitriol they received.
It remains to be seen how quickly they deliver some news on PC games coming down the pipeline, if that helps quell the backlash somewhat. I wouldn't expect anything substantial for a week or two though.
