I get they are busy with the new expansion, but that doesn’t stop Blizz from making other classes look cool. I don’t know about you guys, but I lost that patience about five years ago. We’re still using a placeholder model.

Meh I think we quieted down because they are not listening.
We really need some YouTube to cover it, or a wowhead article to bring visibility to them …

Influencers will only play and care about shaman if it plays well.

i think hell will freeze over before they do any meaningful updates to shaman… mages/warlocks/druids will always receive updates first.

What’s crazy is they could literally just bring the glyph back and call it a day. I wish I knew why it’s that big of a deal. All these new class animations and stuff across everything and we are basically asking them to remove one .
It’s not a big deal. At all. Any excuse they come up with is just pure laziness and an unwillingness to admit that they’re in the wrong and commit to this small change that every shaman wants.

I came back to the game over the summer and am loving my shaman. Except that I hate turning into this stupid looking thing every minute or two.
It has gotten to the point where I am trying builds without Ascendance where possible. Which is a pretty big self-nerf, for the most part.
The spell itself is fine. If they brought back the glyph I would probably love the spell. I would totally dig my shaman going translucent and getting extra visual effects when he ascends.
But my Orc turning into a fugly looking dude with a completely different body type totally destroys my class fantasy.
It might seem silly, but if the model is not eventually replaced, it may end up being a big reason I don’t stick around.

The spell was so cool with this glyph, ever since the removal of the glyph i have been sidelining my shaman for my warlock.

I don’t think it’s about the community giving up on a updated Ascendance, more so Blizzard has…
We have been asking for a model update, (first introduced In Cataclysm, Bastion of Twilight Raid and given to Shamans in MoP) for a long time, the model itself is now 14 years old.
If that doesn’t convince Blizzard to finally update such an old model that I agree feels like a placeholder that’s so prevalent in all 3 specs of Shamans I don’t know what will.
Shamans are desperately needing a visual update, core races totems look horrible compared to Allied Races, Lightning Bolt looks like it was from the 90s a complete downgrade on what we had. Ascendance has long lived past its visual prime.
One day… maybe in Midnight Expansion.
