Did they stealth nerf Felgaurd tankiness?

My Felguard is dying constantly and getting hit like a truck in Torghast. Liek 34% to 0 in a hit.
No debuffs.

Switched to Blueberry tanking pet and he got insta pummeled too. So much for the game being fun. I have to stand there and do 0 dps while I health funnel my pet just so I don’t get insta jibbed.

Maybe Ion got mad that I called him out. lol.

Feguard gets ate up out in the world to, seen him get shredded in the maw, and that’s even with me using health scaling

Going try torghast today to see what’s up.

I can see why this games revenue is down 61% and player base down 41% since release of Shadowlands.

Yeah trust me that has nothing to do with the felguard

Pretty common problem with being under geared…everytime new content comes out felguard and blueberry suck a$$ until you get better geared. Although at your ilevel the felguard should be drinking shredding already.

Best bet is take demon skin talent when this happens.

I am using the Demon Skin talent. It’s just stupid. ilvl is 196, not great, but not horrible either. I have other classes that can easily do it with much less ilvl.

Also, releasing this mob to kill you when you’ve already had a hard time with the instance and spent an hour of your life trying to complete it, is just asinine. Whoever thought that up should be banned from ever working at a gaming company ever again.

226il here and no issues with the fel guard. He actually jusy straight wrecks in torghast and in world environment

Yeah that’s weird
By your ilevel felguard should be almost soloing torghast for you without many anima powers.

Demo is dramatically overpowered in torghast because of the felguard.

I’m confused as to what the issue here is tbh.

I didn’t notice any difference in Torghast this week. Our ilvl is about the same and if I don’t get any Pact of Thickness, Blood-Stained Dagger, Obleron Endurance, Secret Spices, etc. he will be a little squishier than I would like and I have to health funnel a fair amount, especially if I pull multiple elites at once. Thankfully there are enough of those types of powers that you usually get at least one within a floor or two.

Do you have Bangle of Seniority from Ve’nari? That’s the one that makes the vendors offer a couple of green powers. It only requires Tentative rep (it’s account wide, so can buy on any character) and it’s nice because the vendor will sometimes have Pact of Thickness.

(I use Demon Skin but I don’t use Fel Commando.)

How’s your stamina? Make sure you’re not using any ability that reduces it. And maybe avoid large pulls, some of those mini-bosses hit hard, especially on the first couple of floors of Soulforge and Mort (Coldheart sucks anytime).

Which section of Torghast are you referring to and which floor? Because if we’re talking Twisting Corridors floor 10+, it’s kinda normal for your ilvl that your pet gets wrecked. Also are you trying to do mass pulls and aoe?

What’s wrong, “Too pathetic to fight your own battles?” I can confirm, my felguard still smash, smash. Make sure you have Demon Skin, don’t pull too many elites in Torghast until you have Pack of Infernal Intimacy and a few floors, and health funnel as needed. When running Torghast at the start of the expansion, I didn’t receive my first Pact of Infernal Intimacy until I had completed all of the wings, so felguard is definitely more than capable in lower ilvl gear, even without that anima power, you just need to be a little more careful.

Good luck, happy hunting!

This was a complaint since the start of Shadowlands. Voidwalker is noticeably more squishy as well.

WoW needs to update their pet mechanics. It’s been so many years of the same broken pet ui.

Playing through TBC again, the current pet system in Shadowlands feels pretty good. Definitely wouldn’t mind some of the buggy terrain issues getting resolved but happy to have what we have.

I didn’t notice any difference this week. I did layer 8 last week at ilvl 186 and this week at 195 and I don’t think my felguard died either time.

I’ve always been able to get a couple pact of thickness and the dmg reduction from health funnel powers, they make a big difference.

In the maw those monsters that ride around are tougher than others and I do end up needing to heal my felguard. I have the 9% fel commando and sometimes he just gets chunked anyway.

Check last night in torghast seems like felguy is still plenty tanky.

Maybe a new low geared player with bad luck torghast powers might be a different experience, not sure.

No, that’s not it. I make sure that I never take that one. in fact I had like 60k health from the 2% for each malrat killed.
every time he died, he had 2 elites on him, but it can be impossible to avoid that with some of the mob groups.
I didn’t get the health funnel ability. maybe just bad luck. I still believe that whoever designed torghast should never work for another gaming company ever again.

Health funnel ability is ok but not amazeballs. You want things like pact of thiccness.

I’m just puzzled as to how you get him to die so easy. 2 elites can put a small hurt on him in the first floor or 2 but even then you shouldbe blasting one down with cooldowns so fast it doesn’t become an issue. And by the time you get to the first buyout floor he should be pretty much slaughtering for you.

Wait is this for regular torghast or the elite floors?
