Not a tragedy at all… except the tragedy of how long it took for them to implement.
IMO marks hunter and both warrior specs need to have their pvp mods leveled back out. The matrix of super high mods on base spells vs long lists of heavily nerfed talents is getting out of hand. The net effect is overly dumbed-down specs way too reliant on base tuning where playstyle doesn’t really hinge that much on your talent/stat build.
IMO these three specs would also be way easier to balance with unnerfed crit damage (also coinciding with reduced mods on base spells). Players should really want to spend a large amount of their stat budget on critical strike for these specs. They should need to crit more in their burst to be threatening.
Its a big nerf.
Pre nerf:
Outside of cooldowns you get to Rampage every 6 seconds, means you can stack the full thing by the 12 second mark, giving you 36% ms on the target for 8 seconds.
During cooldowns, you can stack it by the 6/8 second mark = 12/14 seconds of 36% ms.
Pos nerf:
Based on the above, you can’t stack fully the ms effect outside of cooldowns.
During cooldowns, you get 6/4 seconds of 36% ms.
After the nerf, during cooldowns, we will get less uptime on the 36% ms than pre nerfed outside of cooldowns.
And this is with 100% uptime, any CC will disrupt this further.
This is even heavier if you consider that Fury doesn’t do that much damage outside of cooldowns, so most our pressure outside them was the 36% ms effect. All you have to do now is legit CC Fury during Recklessness to make the pressure smaller and when the cooldowns end, you can just ignore Fury.
I main Fury. This won’t make me stop playing it, nor will i complain about it. Simply think Slaughterhouse is a baddly designed talent that influence us into a toxic tunnel vision gameplay. Removing this and giving Fury a flat 25% ms effect on Rampage for 5 seconds would fix the problems this talent brings. Rest would be damage tunning.
All and all, more concerned that Frost Mage is simply untouched even with constant weeks of domination.
I think this is all fair and by design. Arms only gets its extra MS effects during cs. Nobody else gets maintained above-average MS effects like current slaughterhouse provides. It actually makes perfect sense for the goal to be for you to only get to max stacks inside of your cooldowns and for you to be hanging out closer to average MS levels for the rest of the time.
Fury dmg isn’t that strong, it was reliant on those big exec crit to take out someone.
So MS nerf + our burst + shattering trow nerf. I expect arm to take over buy arms is so weak to hunter and mage wich are both Stier.

Arms is stronger anyways. Fury kind of relies on reck windows, arms is just always chunking every time it makes contact, and has better defensives
