Wow druids feel very elven to me. Night elven to be exact. Moonfire, starfall( potm ability), old form buffs, healing. The Elune connection. Alot of druid portals and clothing has elvish writings on it too. 
that really depends from ones point of view. Diablo druids came first if you look at it as just humans but as for WoW druids they probably exsisted before humans ever did with the many races that exsisted before the humans
