I do think that it bears mentioning though, that the Horde funded itself in the Second War via money that they pillaged from Stormwind’s treasury and a good amount of that money was used to purchase weapons, supplies, and vehicles from the Steamwheedle Cartel.
Since the Horde, by way of its name and governing structure, established itself as the successors of the group that pillaged Stormwind, it might in fact be on the hook for reparations much like the German and Japanese governments were on the hook for it post-WWII despite being different governing entities.
But the real folks that the Alliance should be going after is the Steamwheedle Cartel. To this day it’s stunning that the Steamwheedle has gotten away with its actions in the Second War completely. Its Trade Princes are probably still spending the blood money that they stole from Stormwind by way of the Horde.
I’m… really not. Never said the invasion wasn’t brutal, but the war was rather short (relatively speaking anyway, it went from swift domination of the alliance to rapid retreat of the horde, quite literally overnight). The survivors of Stormwind were able to start rebuilding and recovering. The only ones who continued to suffer beyond going through the mourning process and ptsd, were the Stonemasons that became the Defias Brotherhood, because the Stormwind Nobles screwed them.
It must surely have been horrific to be a survivor of the war, absolutely… but every day since then the orcs had been living the repercussions. Their homeworld, obliterated. If they were on Draenor, they were enslaved by demons. If they were on Azeroth, they were either put in internment camps, left in a depressive malaise, tortured, tormented and put to fight on a daily basis by their human overlords, or they were forced into hiding for several years, always on the move, basically waiting for the day they are finally hunted down and exterminated.
What happened to Stormwind is tragic, yes. But as callous as it might sound, their troubles were swift and short lived. The surviving orcs were paying for what they did for many years to come, tortured either by demons or by humans. And NOTHING that the orcs did justified some of the truly cruel and despicable things that happened to orcs in those internment camps.
Right after the Humans pay reparation for slavery, housing elves who are guilty of genocide among multiple other inhumane acts, Not to mention pay for all the crimes Arthas did. Remember every single human is guilty of every single thing a human did.
they’re not even good at paying hard workers, where the Defias Brotherhood came from, they had to come together or starve.

Well it would have been zero if you stayed on your own planet and didn’t force “greedy storwindians” to rebuild after your drunken rage on demon’s blood.
We’re talking about what they did to Stormwind, buddy. Not the Draenei. If we’re going to extend out like that then might as well just start blaming the legion, since they’re the entire reason why the orcs got so aggressive in the first place (until they broke the lore in WoD by pretty much saying giant explosive wheels are as corruptive as demons…)
