Seems to me it’s more you who’se throwing the tantrum. You didn’t call out anything, you just said “it’s not optional to do the story”.
Well yes, the story is in no way tied to Mythic+. You still have not said what feature you think is tied to the story in a non-optional way.
And like I said : even doing the story is completely optional.
